Progression in this game needs a hard overhaul in my opinion. Having xp linked purely to challenges isn’t ok especially when you run out of challenges and a large amount of players don’t play anymore because because that measly 50 xp per match just doesn’t cut and it doesn’t help you don’t even care if you win or not. Game should have a win bonus and some xp gained through actual in game performance like medals. At the point im already leaving the game for others while I just wait for challenges to reset. there was a better more in depth post made about this explaining everything more but I am unable to link it so deal with my kinda empty thoughts I guess.

I don’t mind XP tied to challenges. But I don’t think that should be the only thing it’s tied too. And I think challenges should encourage good gameplay. As is they encourage poor gameplay. Perhaps the challenges should be a bit more generic, and tied to gametypes? That wouldn’t be a long term solution of course, but why I think that is you shouldn’t be encouraged to go for kills above defending/capturing the flag in CTF. You shouldn’t be encouraged to go out of your way looking for specific weapons in oddball. You should be encouraged to go for the objectives in objective gametpyes, and kills in Slayer. I don’t have a perfect fix, but the current system encourages bad behavior. Which isn’t healthy for the game.
