Progression CAN’T be Built on Challenges

The progression system HAS to be built on rewarding the player for playing the game the way THEY want and rewarding players for great performance of the core gameplay, kills, medals, objectives, wins etc.

Currently Challenges at the core of progression forces players to play in a way we just don’t want to. It is cheesing off so many people because we want to be able simply play and enjoy Halo (which is awesome btw) and unlock cool armour for our spartan. NOT forced to do certain challenges in order to do so.

MCC was perfect in this regard, players are rewarded for playing the game the way they want and performance XP. If you want to progress even faster you can complete challenges and get a good boost. This is how it should be.

Challenges at the CORE of progression Ruins gameplay as teammates are constantly trying to complete a specific challenges rather than focus on the core gameplay objectives. How in the world did you think this was a good idea? Implementing a system that incentivise players NOT to participate in team play??? They have to selfishly pursue challenges because it’s the only way to progress.

I know this is like kicking a dead horse, but this has to change, and I hope 343 you are taking the overwhelming feedback on board. The pursuit of profits through the current system will actually hurt earning potential significantly in the long run.

Agreed.
I’d rather pay for multiplayer then have this.
