Progression and Customization: Solutions to Their Problems

I’m just going to list off the problems with the progression and customization systems, then solutions to them. Leave your thoughts below, along with any problems and solutions to said problems. 343i will take more attention to constructive criticism rather than mob complaining (I hope).

Progression Problems:
Solely challenged based.
Not enough XP for match completions.

Progression Solutions:
Implement MCC’s progression system. Instead of grinding for specific tasks in matches usually at the expense of your teammates, contributing to objectives and kills in matches will reward higher XP. Infinite has an amazing sandbox with loads of medals and things to get, the fact that we aren’t rewarded on performance is atrocious. The grind at the moment is tedious and promotes microtransactions over progressing through challenges. Use MCC’s system please.
Not enough XP can simply be fixed by upping the amount of implementing a new system described above.

Customization Problems:
Armor coatings remove personalization.
Armor coatings and visors are restricted to specific armor cores.
Not enough choices for armor pieces.

Customization Solutions:
Remove armor coatings and allow for primary/secondary to return, with coatings used as patterns for colors. You removed red vs blue to show off our Spartans, but we can’t even choose what colors we want to be. Or, let us equip coatings to individual pieces of armor, similar to Destiny 2’s shader system.
Restricting coatings to armor cores is not okay. You’re removing even more personalization options. Let us use any coating on any core, or implement the primary/secondary scheme back. I want to run the new anniversary green on the Mark V(B) for example. Why can’t I?
There seems to be many pieces of armor missing from Reach on the Mark V(B) core. There are either a bunch of options for a certain piece of armor, then absolutely none for another piece. For example, many helmet options for the Mark V(B) but only five for shoulders. Introduce all the old armor from Reach to remedy this. 343i seems afraid to give players choices in terms of customization. Don’t be. More choices allow for more personalization which seemed to be a big talking point for this game.
