Progress reset?!?!?!?

Okay, I’ve searched the forums and the only thing I get back is a thread that was made last year so I thought i’d ask.

I’ve just moved home, so after being without the internet for a couple of weeks I thought i’d stick Halo 4 in for a few games.

To my surprise there was an update, which from reading the forums seemed to do nothing but sort out the red-X.

However, not only did it sort out the red-X, IT RESET ALL OF MY PROGRESS IN THE GAME!!

WTH!!!

Has anyone else experienced this, or knows why this happens? If there isn;t a fix for this, it means I have to redo my armour, loadouts and complete the campaign again!!!

Yeah, it happens, and I haven’t heard of a fix, unfortunately. I should mention it wouldn’t have had anything to do with the update.

this progress reset? what did it reset, armour and emblems and rank are not really a problem as it just defaults it

but campaign progress gets ditched? what about Spartan ops completion? I really dread this happening to my progress in halo 4

So -Yoinked!- off about this!

I just don’t understand why 343i messed up so badly on so many things!

Yes, Halo 4 is a good game, but there are so many stupid mistakes and omissions from the game that it just leads me to get frustrated.

I will still continue to play as I still enjoy it somewhat, but never for long stints like I did with previous Halo’s.

I think I will be moving over to Battlefield 4 when that comes out for my multiplayer FPS fix, and renting Halo 5 & 6 for the campaign.

GRRRRRRR, SO FRUSTRATING!!!

According to your service record you’re not reset. Seems to be some sort of disconnect going on…

It has defaulted:
Loadouts
Emblems
Armour

It has reset:
Campaign progress, (I had it completed Solo LASO)
Spartan ops progress, (All completed on Legendary)
All recent theatre films

Feeling let down and frustrated by 343i

Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear, but just a little frustrated.
See my previous post for what has happened.

To clarify, my ranks and unlocks are still there, but I have to go through everything again.

When I went onto Infinity, I was shown the opening movie that shows when you first play the game.

I am also unable to play any campaign mission other the Prologue.

But it’s a good thing. I reached sr130 in december. I’d love to reset my rank without having to play with a new account.

Your waypoint service record shows that you have completed campaign on legendary so you have not been reset. Seems to be some sort of disconnect between your waypoint and the game. First, try clearing your cache and deleting and reinstalling the game. If that doesnt work try deleting and recovering your gamertag.

this happend to me aswell i still had my rank but everything was reset loadouts ect. its fine now but my single player wont work says i need the downloadable content

Corrupt profile. If your profile hasn’t synced with the server yet, you can delete your profile on the xbox, redownload it and everything will be restored.

In all likelihood though, your corrupt profile has been synced to the server.
