Hi folks.
I turned on halo wars 2 this morning and my progress has been lost.
My skulls, game saves, phoenix logs, service record and mission progress has gone. I still seem to have blitz cards though.
I turned xbox off and back on, and my service record came back, but nothing else.
A further reboot and everything gone again.
Anyone else having same issue or know how to fix it?
Has it happened to anyone else?

Yes, I’m having this issue as well. Still looking for a fix.
I have lost everything like I never played the game. If I can’t get all of the stuff back I will never play a halo game again.
In a new exciting twist to this, i can’t seem to play the campaign at all anymore. Any time i turn my xbox off my saves delete. How do i escalate this directly to get it fixed?

My advice is stop playing. What happened to me is that it started with objective issues. I would get a gold medal on a mission but it would say on the mission status that nothing has been done (no optional, bonus or skulls complete). Then all but one skulls were locked (which is the opposite of what I actually have). The Phoenix logs and finally all mission have been rest. I’m woundering how long until DLC and leader units are lost.
I already payed for awaken the nightmare im not paying for it again.
A lot of us are having this same issues, I have found at least 10-15 different threads with the same issues for all of us. All campaign saves are erased once you turn off your Xbox one. Multiplayer stats stay, but any type of campaign save is gone. And I did have all my DLC leader units disappear as well, Have not tried to re-download them yet…

It’s almost like it’s not a bug but a virus.
Another strange thing about all this is that someone told me that this happened on there Xbox One but not there One X.
I wounder how much of the population is affected by this.
It’s nice to hear that I’m not the only one who is still experiencing this issue.

Interesting, didn’t think about it like that. Weird though that the Xbox One X would not have this issue. Also find it odd that when I look on my Xbox for the saves it shows save files for HW2, but the game doesn’t recognize them.

The Xbox One X was just from 1 source, although it would make sense to have another 343i/Microsoft scam to sell more Xbox One Xs.
The virus theory who knows. I’ve never seen a bug remove data. Prevent data from being recorded is something I’ve seen a lot, but to remove data especially over time is something a virus would normally do.
I have a one x and it keeps my regular campaign data but keeps deleting my operation spearbreaker progress. It maintains that I have completed it on gold, solo, and easy but none of my objectives or campaign logs stay after I shut the game down on both missions. I haven’t tried AtN yet to see if it is the samr. I tried the hold power button reset and deleting saved data. My regular campaign data comes back after I reset the game a 2nd time after saved data resync. I’ve now gotten all the objectives and logs for operation spearbreaker twice and they have disappeared again, very annoyed. 343 needs to get on this.
Having the same issue too. It happens once every month or so for me.
I have had the same issues. Please advise what is happening for a resolution for those users impacted
Just happened to me. I just finished a mission (maybe half way through the game) and as it went to start the cinematic for the next mission, instead the opening cinematic for the first mission (beginning of game) starts playing. I back out, and now all my progress is wiped. But I still recieve the cards. But no saves whatsoever…super frustrated…
(Update) Hard reset of my Xbox One and my progress returned for all but the mission I was on. So relieved…but this better not happen again…
This is still an issues for me as well.

Searched “halo wars progress lost” and this thread came up. So mods, do your thing and lock it. Unless it’s still happening to everyone and not just me.
Btw, I’m on PC. I’ve beaten everything on normal and I was a 1/4 of the way through on Legendary. Not a huge deal but it reminds me of why I stopped playing TMCC years ago. Progress resets.
