Hi, I already tried asking this on the Xbox Support Forums and was directed here, so I’ll try my luck:
My brother and I play Halo: Reach fairly regularly, using offline accounts since we have no lust to utilize the matchmaking features. Recently, he logged out so that we could view a video in the theatre mode of the game, and, when he logged back in, accidentally logged into the wrong account. He quickly signed out and signed into his regular account only to find that his normal account had somehow copied all the progress details from the account he mistakenly logged into, setting his Rank from Major all the way back to Corporal, and robbing him of the many accessories he acquired in the Armory. The oddest thing is that his achievements remained the same, so that he possesses the achievement attained by reaching the “Captain” rank, despite the game insisting that he is merely Corporal. I’m not sure if there is any way to fix this, since his account is not connected to Xbox Live, but any help would be very appreciated.
tl;dr: account copied Halo Progress details from another account, causing a large amount of progress to be lost
