Can only play this game in offline, won’t let me connect to the server at all. Tried every form of resetting the console and Internet and still nothing. Is there a fix for this or has my money been wasted on a game that won’t allow me to play online at all? Can’t even do Co-op campaign and for a game that’s been out this long it’s pretty disgraceful these sorts of server issues have still not been fixed.
A profile sync error is probably not a server issue. Considering that I can see your progress just fine here on Waypoint, your profile is likely fine and safe in Halo 5’s servers; there is just something happening with the communication. If you have already tried power cycling/hard resetting your console and router/modem, here are some other steps to try:
- Try deleting your local game save data. This is a dangerous step because if you aren’t careful, you could accidentally delete your save data from the cloud, erasing all of your progress forever. I suggest using Google to look up a guide for this step.
- Reinstall Halo 5.
once in a blue moon it works…this game is virtually unplayable for me unless I just want to play campaign over and over. Have to basically come back to it every few days and if I’m lucky it actually works…terrible for a game I spent so much money on to not even have the basics ironed out.
Just because you are experiencing errors doesn’t mean the entire infrastructure of Halo 5 is flawed. The basics are ironed out; it is an unrealistic expectation for 100% of players to have 100% stable connections 100% of the time. I for one pretty much never experience problems. Did you try the other steps I suggested? If you just want to complain without actually trying to make things better, just say so.
