I load up Halo 5: Guardians and the game doesn’t even sync my profile, it just says “Profile Sync Error”. My req points, SR and stuff load all besides my emblem, skins, customization stuff, etc.
I hard reset my Xbox, nothing.
I reset my internet, nothing.
I also notice Halo Waypoint is really slow. It also cannot direct me to my account on Waypoint. While Halo doesn’t work, ANYTHING else will. Youtube, Twitter, my bank account all loads perfectly fine besides Halo Waypoint!
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem or what this is about? Anyone else having these issues?
Usually, the game and Waypoint problems are connected which is why your account on here is screwy. The site seems to be working now.
There is a thread pinned at the top of the Halo 5 Support Forum (previous page) for discussing server related problems. You are likely to get more responses from there.
Most of the time any one-off problems with the servers can be solved by just waiting for them to clear up themselves, or by completing a cold reset of your Xbox One. To perform a cold reset, hold down the power button (Xbox logo on the front of your console) for 10 seconds. Additionally, I sometimes find resetting Alternate MAC Address in network settings on your console can make the game a lot more responsive.
