These medals are earned for completing specific Halo related tasks like earning SR152 in Halo 5, playing a specific number of multiplayer game or reaching a high competitive skilled based rank in Halo 5 (Platinum, Diamond, Onyx or Champion).

Its description reads “Place Diamond in any playlist in Halo 5”. I don’t know what this means as I haven’t played Halo 5 in years and when I did, I never paid attention to what I was doing, I just messed around with it for a little while then stopped playing it.

In Halo 5, the matchmaking can be split up into 2 main classes called Warzone and Arena. The second class can be subdivided even further into Social and Ranked. In this case, the second class Ranked Arena is the main class of interest and it features a competitive skilled based rank with the main tiers Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Onyx and Champion. If you manage to reach any of the tiers Platinum, Diamond, Onyx and Champion, you will get a special Service Award corresponding to the specific rank.

Here is a complete list with all possible skilled based ranks in Halo 5 and unlock requirements. You will be a part of the highest possible rank corresponding to the amount of CSR that you have collected. As an example, if you have collected 55 CSR, you have sufficient amount of CSR for Bronze 1 and Bronze 2 and the Bronze 2 is highest, as such you will be part of Bronze II.

Curious cause I haven’t played any ranked H5. Is it extremely difficult and rare to get Onyx and Champ? Or does that top 200 fluctuate pretty easily? I remember seeing quite a few people with those ratings.

@JB_Linken Yeah I can confirm there is one. I just don’t think it can be publicly viewed by others though.

@xSpartanette Unfortunately not. When I look at your profile I can only see your badges that you’ve earned but not your service awards like the 10,000 games played or highest competitive rank achieved. Wish they could change this.

I have all the Badges for playing Matches but I never made it to SR152

If I recall correctly, the average rank for a playlist is usually somewhere around Gold and Platinum. At the later ranks, there are a reduced amount of players for each consecutive rank.

Something I find interesting is that I have the Service Awards up to and including the 10,000 games played. But I do not have all the medals up to and including Onyx - only the Onyx Service Award.

We have the same ones! Only extra one I have is hitting Onyx in H5.

I feel like I should have more Awards/Medals. I just have multiplayer ones and ones for H5. Is there any Awards/Medals that come from MCC or Spartan Strike/Assault?

Yeah, that was kinda my intent with this topic, but it looks like most of us have generally the same few medals for H5 ranks and number of MP matches.

Whats weird is I have the 10000MP games service award however upon checking my profile stats I actually have only played 1000 total if my mcc and halo 5 matches are added together
