If I reply to someone on this site and I notice I have made a mistake, or simply want to start over with my message I seem to encounter quite an irritating problem. When I delete my message all the way to the beginning and remove the very first character I typed the cursor immediately moves up inside the box that contains the comment I’m replying to. I can’t find away to move the cursor out side of it, if I click on the space I’m supposed to type in nothing happens. I’m forced to click out of the thread and re-enter it and go to the post I want reply to again.
Is this a problem when replying to a comment or am I just simply doing something wrong?

This is definitely a problem with the site, but the worst issues with quoting come when accessing the forums on a mobile device. Quoting is incredibly inconsistent, particularly when trying to delete stacked quotes.
The WYSIWYG editor is seriously broken right now in many ways. I’d recommend using the source code view for standard writing, and using the WYSIWYG mode only for formatting options that are cumbersome in BBCode (e.g. font, and lists).

The problem is, though, that the source code view is inaccessible on mobile devices, where the editor is most incomplete and buggy.

On mobiles I tend to avoid making large posts, but on desktop there is usually a way around most fo the issues. Not ideal but good enough for me to work with:
Use source code to fix any issue when multi-quoting, just make sure the opening and closing quote tags all match up correctly.- If for any reason you get issues with modal pop-ups stopping responding, can’t insert text correctly, can’t add more quotes, then refresh the page. I usually copy any text before hand, but on refresh your current content should remain and not be wiped (this is fine for me in Firefox, but I’m sure other browsers are the same)
