Problems with loading content from disc 2

Hello everyone!
About 2 to 3 weeks ago I got this weird problem with Halo 4. I am unable to load maps or game types in Custom Games, Matchmaking and Forge preventing everyone in the lobby to play. Spartan-Ops and Theater won’t load either. They all stop at 0 % including Forge island and Spartan Ops Season 1 episodes 6-10 which are DLC. I have no issues in Campaign. The problems are all disc 2 content (I think?). All Spartan-IV models are blurry and not properly loaded. This glitch occurs on all of my profiles on my Xbox 360 including offline Profiles. I have not had any problems with any other game. I’ve tried to remove all of my Halo 4 content on my hard-drive, I’ve cleared my system cache multiple times and I have contacted Xbox live support and followed all of their steps in fixing bugs and glitches. My account is clean. Thank you for your help.

When you say you removed your Halo 4 content, did that include the content items called War Games and Spartan Ops Season 1.5?

Try this:
[/li]- Delete the War Games, Spartan Ops Season 1, and Spartan Ops Season 1.5 content items

  • Load Disc 2 and have it reinstall its content
  • Download Spartan Ops Season 1.5 from the Marketplace
  • If Disc 1 is installed to your hard drive, delete it

Yes Vektor0, I’ve removed everything from Halo 4 on my hard drive and then I’ve reinstalled it. I’ll try to do it again though. Thank you for your help Vektor0!

Hi Error 5577,

Have you checked your hard drive for any corrupt files? You know they’re corrupt by the yellow “!” they have on them.

Yes and I’ve deleted them all but I’m still experiencing the problem.

Error 5577, is your Halo 4 a disc copy or is it a digital Games on Demand copy? Have you tried installing Halo 4 to another hard drive?

It’s a standard Halo 4 disc and I’ve had it for about a year. I haven’t had the opportunity to install it on to another hard drive yet but I’ve done it in the past without any problems.

Error 5577, are you able to install the content to another hard drive to see if this resolves the issue? If it does work, there could be a problem with your current hard drive.

Does it have to be on another built in Xbox 360 hard drive or can I just install it on any memory unit with enough memory space?

A USB should work, but you may have to remove the hard drive to allow it to work. I’m not 100% sure, but I think that certain DLC and such doesn’t work unless it’s on the main hard drive…although, once again, I’m not sure. I’d just try putting it all on a USB, and then, if it doesn’t work, remove the hard drive. Then it should work.

I’ll give it a shoot! Thanks Cizlin!

Well, it didn’t work.

I am still experiencing this problem!

You tried to take the hard drive out and put everything on a USB? If that doesn’t work, then Install Halo 4 to the hard drive. It may be a disc problem. If that doesn’t work, then look for scratches on the disc. If there is anything blatantly scratched on the disc, you can try to clean it. If that doesn’t work or there is no scratches, then, I hate to say it, but it may be your console.
