Infection is great in this game, and with almost 20 killionaires I can say its my favourite iteration. However there are some huge flaws with the gamemode that need to be addressed.
- Power installation 484. I don’t think I need to explain, this map is just stupid. Everyone camps in that tunnel with gauss turrets, hydras and ARs. No thank you.
- Zombies corner camping. I understand corner camping is a strategy, but literally sitting at a weapon for a minute is cheap, and I would consider it AFKing because your not helping the other zombies at all.
- Noob spots. By this I mean the tunnel on r.i.p. tide, the cages, etc. Why are these places here when this infection was meant to encourage map movement. This encourages people to camp in groups and not die.
- Zombies are underpowered. I would consider myself a decent zombie having racked up a few lord of the files medals, and even I struggle immensely with the zombie mechanics in this game. Even using thrust tactics and stealth the zombies lack serious power until they have numbers and it makes some maps (the crypt is the obvious example) incredibly boring as the zombies are unable to infect anyone.
I think they should get rid of the camo ability on zombies, its useless, annoying and promotes camping rather than making pushes and skilled zombie plays. Instead they should add sprinting for the alphas as this would make it easier for them to get those infections they need at the start to turn the tides.
After reading points 2 and 3 I came to the conclusion that you’re either an idiot or a troll. I’ll go with the former.

With less than a 1.5 K/D and a 30% w/l you don’t have room to talk. Sorry

I agree power installation is an awful map

It’s the only map I refuse to play

If the zombies almost always win, then they are not underpowered. They aren’t suppose to be to strong. They are fine where they are.
Zombies are not underpowered just too many power weapons and grenades. They should just remove the power weapons and give the survivors a little more shotgun ammo and the pistol. Also if you want the zombies to be more powerful maybe you should play the flood on halo 4.

You’re joking right? This guy makes a lot of sense.
I personally was really excited about infection because I didn’t play Reach so had never had the gametype in matchmaking and there was so much hype behind the playlist…severely disappointed.
zombies are terribly underpowered

I don’t struggle as a zombie, other people struggle and I barely ever get last man playing alone because none of the zombies are good enough to infect everyone
hahahaha the fact that you say zombies should be powerful before they have numbers on their side is hilarious on its own right. Thats the point of zombies you know, they suck at soloing but will destroy you do to their numbers, its like you have no idea what a zombie even is.
I just thought it was funny that during the live stream they explained that the reason they got rid of the pistol was to promote map movement… But the AR melts the infected (I usually drop my shotgun before the AR because of how powerful it is). I can’t tell you how much I dislike it when a group of humans just huddle up in some corner and just melt any infected that peeks their head out.
Also, the invisibility of the Alpha Zombie is negated by their cool swirling green mist (It’s cool and I like the look of it, but it makes it really hard to sneak up on people.)
Overall, I like infection, but there are some maps with long sightlines that make it so hard to be infected.

So zombies shouldn’t stick close to power weapons they know that the survivors will go for? Yeah a minute is excessive but, let them play how they want. That’s basically like players camping near power weapons or power ups because other players will come there. So you shouldn’t be doing that in MM since it’s wrong in zombies and don’t even camp while playing Breakout and don’t even camp your objective in CTF or Strongholds. You can’t expect survivors to constantly run around the map and not find a place to stick together to put up a resistance. All the camping spots have some major flaws whether they be blind spots, narrow and short paths that zombies could easily over run if some people actually knew how to play this game type. But, they DON’T and then cry about it. Almost all the times I see the survivors win is when the zombies simply suck and don’t try to form together. Instead they rush one at a time like idiots. They have 3-4 guys in a single area and you expect to get the jump on them?

My k/d and w/l have what to do with my opinion exactly? I’ve played zombies since Halo 2 so I’m pretty sure I know wtf I’m talking about when it comes to zombies.

Off topic: Whoa man swearing in your post down below…not cool man not cool.
On topic: The infection maps need to be more scary and creepier. Like COD zombie maps where wicked scary with the writing on the doors and stuff while halos infection is not that scary at all.
i just dont like the fact that they added power weapons to infection instead of just shotgun and pistol like it was in reach

See the beauty of waypoint every halo player has room to talk. Also stat flaming is against the rules.
Power installation 484 is a tribute to Sword Base, Pinnacle, and The Cage from Reach, but you are mad because it’s not Halo Reach, it is 5 so you just hate it, by the way, there’s another entrance on the back but you are just one of those people who goes always the same way

Power Installation 484 might be similar to those maps, but it is much harder to infect someone individually in Halo 5 than Halo Reach. I don’t think he ever said he hated it, he just preferred not playing that map for the obvious reasons. It seems like you haven’t played too much of this map, because the back way is almost always blocked off by the big crate. Yes, you can push it through, but that requires no resistance from the humans on the other side. If there are say 4 zombies, and everyone else in the little room, it’s almost impossible to infect them, even if you rush them. The AR, CE magnum, and gauss turret are just to powerful in that situation.

You’re right about this, you can infect people in certain situations quite easily if you all rush them. But if almost everyone stays in one area, then often times the zombies just become free kills. And if all the humans go to one main spot, then forget infecting them, even if the zombies coordinate attacks.

I have yet to see the entire group of survivors stick together in one spot which if they did might actually help them survive BUT, the good spots aren’t big enough to hold all the players and allow them to play comfortably and…people are greedy. They want the kills. Some are content with just surviving but, a lot of players are in it for the kills. So they spread out to ensure this. I’ve yet to see survivors win when the infected actually coordinate their attacks and go in as a whole. Even when Last Man Standing is camped in the back alley on RIPTIDE with a SAW. He still gets over run and killed.
