I’m going to PM Bs Angel and ask if they would accept an edited version of Hemmohrage so I need a list of problems with the map from you guys. Begin!!
-Remove Revenant
-Changed bases to Coagulation bases.
-Replaced Plasma Launcher with Rocket Launcher
-Added Rocket Hog
-Added a second Plasma Pistol in each base
-Added Falcons
-Replaced Needler with Needle Rifle
-Replaced Needle Rifles with DMR ammo
-Changed Sniper Clip size lower
I refer to my thread “revenant sniper glitch” (currently on the front page), in which I describe how problematic the autoaim on a sniper in a passenger seat is.
Either get rid of the autoaim bonus when in vehicles for snipers (would be ideal) or do not allow the revenant and sniper to co-exist in one match.
Also, I think the plasma launcher doesn’t pack enough of a punch and should be replaced by a spartan laser or something.

The Snipers are the only thing that speeds up gameplay on Hemorrhage, removing the Revenant is a liable solution for the Revenant Aim-bot bug, even though I rarely see it used.

Weell, I think removing snipers from such a big /no cover map is a good idea.
I mean, it feels like there’s only 2 people actually playing and they’re both holding snipers, the other players are just moving targets
More/faster spawnning vehicles could be good too.
Add Falcons to matchmaking on this map! I love the Reverent, so don’t remove it. Replace the Sniper with a Focus Rifle. The map is open anyway. And please make the vehicles spawn ALOT faster. Replace the Shotgun with a Nade Laucher. Spartan Laser should have a relatively quick spawn time (not 3 minutes).
Replace the two Warthogs at each base with a Gauss Warthog and a Rocket Warthog. Put a Spartan Laser in the middle of the map where the Plasma Launcher currently is, and replace the two Needlers with Plasma Launchers. Add a Plasma Turret to the roof of each base. Replace the Concussion Rifles with Rocket Launchers. Put Fuel Rod Guns with the Plasma Grenades that are on the ridges. As Shanez suggests, replace the Shotguns with Grenade Launchers. Replace the Plasma Repeaters in each base with Spikers, and the Magnums with Focus Rifles.

Gauss Hogs still have the bug attached to them that allows them to shoot through Forge World pieces, just like the ones used to make both bases on Hemorrhage, meaning adding Gauss hogs won’t be possible.
Yep, snipers go before the revenants. The map is far too open for them anyway. I remember Bungie lamenting the sniper dominance in Coagulation as the justification for its reimagining in Halo 3 as Valhalla and the lack of snipers on Standoff. For the life of me I don’t know why they ignored this in favour of nostalgia in Reach…
The revenant isn’t used on any other map and it would be a shame to see it go, but the sniper is stock standard and frankly unsuitable for Hemorrhage’s open environ.
Laser is a welcome change, especially if more vehicles are added (which would speed up gameplay and make the map more interesting with consistent vehicular combat.
heh, I thought I was the only one that wanted the Snipers replaced with Focus Rifles. With how open the map is, you’ll still easily killl enemies that are travelling, but you won’t get domed from across the entire length of the map any more.
I do think the map needs a couple more anti-vehicle weapons if the Sniper goes though, some GLs would be nice as Shane suggested.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a Spartan Laser in Each base, instead of Sniper. The spartan would be used for vehicles (mostly) and it would be possible to cross the map without getting sniped, hence better flow and faster games.
Maybe throw in a sniper in the middle that the teams can “fight for” instead “may the best man get to camp”
Add additional cover to the eastern side of the map, near Blue Base. Build a cave or tunnel if possible.
Right now, Red can go either to the eastern Shark Ridge or to the western cave from their base. Both routes of travel are fairly safe, and the hills are shaped in such a manner as to protect infantry until they reach either perch/position.
Blue, on the other hand, only has one covered position outside of their base: the ridge to the west. Furthermore, they have to travel a longer distance to actually enter the cave, due to the way the ridge curves. Worse yet, the cave is very short and straight, and opens up at an angle that leaves it ridiculously vulnerable to both Shark Ridge and Red’s own cave system. You can drop off of the cave ridge into a “pocket” below, but you can’t move outward very safely, because that pocket and the surrounding ground is almost fully exposed to fire from Red’s caves due to the way the hills curve. In other words, Blue’s safest position (outside of their base) isn’t usable at all as a route of travel, because it’s completely exposed to DMR and sniper fire from two Red-owned positions.
All Blue has to the east is an empty expanse. The ground at Blue-east slopes upward, meaning that infantry in that area are vulnerable to cross-map fire. This area should be replaced with a covered structure similar in design, shape, and purpose to Red’s northwestern cave system.
Gauss Hogs would work if an identical piece is placed at the same spot as each block/building. This way, the beam wouldn’t go through. It could replace the Revenant, or maybe a regular Warthog. A falcon would also be nice, and it could replace the Revenant or the Warthog.
I understand that its a slow map, but I cannot stand getting hit from a sniper every 3 seconds. And even though I know where the sniper is, 2 DMR shots in and hes already killed me, partly because he already killed our sniper and the other team drove up and claimed his rifle
I dont want to say it, but Hemmorage is better without snipers. I like the idea of replacing it with a focus rifle
