So I previously had a standard Xbox One, and I had no issues with the Standard Headset included, the thing worked fine. It was purchased November 2014.
Getting ready for Halo 5, I decided to upgrade to the Special Edition Halo 5 Console. The first time I ever used the headset, it I could barely hear my friends talking. One of them had the special edition console like me, and the other had a standard Xbox headset. The one with the Special Edition Xbox Headset had similar problems, while the one with the Standard headset had no issues.
Contacted Microsoft Support. I’m required to ship my poorly functioning headset to them at my expense before they will send me a new one. Which means I’ll be out of a headset until the new one arrives, which means no communicating with my friends online. I’m pretty frustrated by this since I played $600 for this console and expected everything to be working properly.
Has anyone else experienced this happening with their Halo 5 Console headset?
