First off, I would like to say that everyone is entitled to their opinion. So here is mine…
First. The game is great overall, but there are some problems that I will get into discussing later on.
The Campaign was excellent. The story line blew me away and was happy with the ending. Master Chief kicked -Yoink- like always, and 343 gave him an actual voice. Not literally speaking, but you heard more from him. Potraying him as more of an actual human than a Super-Soldier.
The Spartan Ops needs some work in my opinion. The maps are straight copy/paste from the campaign missions, and lacking the creativity that was shwon in the campaign. Also, the missions are not challenging in the slightest, only lasting up to 15 minutes on Legendary Solo for the most part. The second episode is the same as the first, but this time, you play the some of the missions backwards.
The Forge is not that cool. There isn’t a “Forge World” type map. It doesn’t give the creator all of the space and such to create such a cool map.
There is no UNSC flying vehicle… No Falcon? Hornet? That’s just wrong.
The multiplayer is great for the most part. I am not going to complain about how it is like Call of Duty, which it isn’t. My concerns lie mostly with team play. Some of the problems are emblems, ranking, and unorganization.
I do not understand why we cannnot simply have all of the emblems to begin with. I run a clan, and like most are apart of a community with a set emblem. I can no longer do that because 343 thought it was a good idea to unlock all of the emblems. Also, there is no longer a red X above a teamates name when he/she dies. Sure it shows on the Motion Sensor, but if you are out of range, it is pointless. The red X represented the death of a teamate, and a player could simply say "Hey, enemy(ies) on my X. But you can no longer do that.
The ranking system seems a bit odd and untraditional for Halo. I feel it would have been easier to just a more traditional ranking system, like Halo 3.
The menus are plain unoprganized. I do not like the menu squares. Halo: Reach was much simpler and easier to navigate. I wish they would have brought the side menu back. Where you could see everyone in your party and playing. Instead if pressing X, the Halo:Reach menu would have been cooler.
Now, my biggest problem. I do not get any of the Specializations. I purchased the $400.00 Halo 4 Console, and my Cousin bought the Limited Edition and he gets all of the codes? That is ridiculous! I should get the same codes as him, and everyone else who purchased the Limited Edition.
As I stated before, everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is clerly and well thought out above. Please feel free to post yours!
