I’ve just finished a new map called “Tilt Table”. When forging it and testing it in custom games, I’ve noticed several bugs with Halo 5.
I’ll list them below to see if anyone has any work around for them, but if not then if someone could direct me to the bug report forum (I assume there is one) then I’d be very grateful.
I will put a link to a video or image of the problem (unfortunately my Waypoint rank doesn’t allow me to post working hyperlinks yet, sorry).
- Firstly, I’ve got a large grouped object for the Tilt Table on my map. In forge, I built it in 3 pieces, and I was going to merge them together. However when I completed the 3rd group and welded it together (along with a stronghold and 4 triangle pieces), everything apart from the stronghold and the triangle pieces seemed to develop normal physics of sorts despite being set to phased.

Another view in custom games: Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online. - I’ve got a camera that is used to show the tilt table between rounds (static view), but the preview in forge looks completely different to what is does in custom games (and it is taking forever to keep adjusting it in forge, ending forge, starting custom games, see if it is right, repeat etc…)

Actual static view in custom games: Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online. - Something is wrong with the teams in Strongholds. I was on red team, but my armour appeared blue (either blue team, or my own customisation - but the blue seemed too light for my own customisation) and teammates seemed to think I was the enemy.
Shown here in 3rd person: Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online. - On one round, someone appeared to belong to no team (but had blue armour). Their name bar appeared neutral.

Create docs with free Office Online. - When you fall off the tilt table, I’ve got a system underneath which forces you to divide into your team groups (so that your not fighting each other in the control room). This consists of blue and red team blocker objects (with the same colour chroma over the top). It works great with separating the teams, however sometimes the teams they let through get switched, i.e. the red team blocker on some rounds lets blue through and blocks red, whilst the blue one does the same with blocking blue and letting through red). It doesn’t affect gameplay too much, but it is just odd when your team ends up in the enemy’s colour on some rounds only.

Example of it going wrong: Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online. - Finally, I’ve got the writing “Tilt Table” made of blocks on one wall of the chamber. I wanted this to flash different colours and tilt side to side. The tilting of the writing was a disaster (only some objects tilted and position/rotation reset kept shifting), but more oddly, the colour changes were not consistent between all the objects (despite being a welded group).

The bugs make it look like my forging skills are terrible so that nothing lines up! Hopefully my forging skills aren’t that bad! The map is still playable though (just about).
If you wish to take a look at the map, you can find it here:
