Seems a lot of people are having problems redeeming the code when they do it on a computer. Can’t you just redeem it on the Xbox dashboard?

I had the same problem. Got the code, activated it thru email on my laptop thru xbox live, when I went to log in to Halo 4, nothing.
Called Xbox Tech support and got it fixed.

Here’s what you do if you activated it thru email, not on your console:

  1. Make sure your download queue is clear, nothing in it.
  2. Go to SETTINGS in the xbox dashboard homepage.
  3. Choose ACCOUNT
  4. Choose TRANSFER LISCENSE

For some reason if you activate it thru your email if you try to download it shows the code is “Assigned to other console.”
It for some reason recognizes the PC as a console and you have to transfer the liscense in order to download it to your XBOX.

This is for those who have trouble with getting the code to work if you activated it thru email like I did. Not sure if it will work for other problems.

IF YOU WANT TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM, DO NOT ACTIVATE THE CODE THRU EMAIL!
WRITE IT DOWN AND REDEEM IT THRU YOUR XBOX!

You can also just re download it to your xbox. Worked for me :stuck_out_tongue:

I haven’t even gotten my email yet. I’ve just seen multiple threads on here of people having problems with the code not working. Every one of them said they redeemed it through the email, on a computer. Whenever I get mine I was planning on entering it through the dashboard anyway.

What Happens If I Have Done The License Transfer Amd It Still Says “Assigned To Other Console” I Cant Try The License Transfer Until Next Year o.0

(I Redeemed Code Through The Email The Moment I Recieved It) Still No Extra Specilizations Unlocked… But It Says That I Have Already Purchased And May Have Downloaded Before.

Was There Any Other Known Fix For This “Assign To Other Console” Problem?

You cant use licence transfer, because its already licenced to your system.

Just go to account management>download history, select “Specialization Priority Alpha”, download it, job done.

If at any time you “lose” access to specs, just do the same thing again.
