I started playing the game on XBL in the mid-afternoon on Tuesday, November 20th. This was before the cut-off of 11:59 p.m. on the 20th. I have not received a code for the additional specializations yet, and I have checked all places it could have been sent to (Including the spam folder). Regardless to not receiving it yet, why is it that others who have bought the game for $60+, spent another $10+ on the DLC maps, paid X amount of money for “Bonus” XP and also pay $60 a year for XBL are penalized and left out even after all they’ve invested into this. Just because someone was not able to play the game before that point in time shouldn’t warrant the exception of them. Others my age, who are in college or other schooling during that time, were nearing an end to a semester, which usually incorporates comprehensive testing. It’s an essential time for some, which makes it harder for them to indulge in video games and other things of that nature. Therefore, I do not see why people should be “penalized” in a sense for something like this.
Sincerely,
Disappointed
They aren’t being penalized. It’s not like they are revoking your access to play because you didn’t play before a certain date. If you were meant to receive a code, you were sent one, end of story. Doesn’t matter if you can’t find it, MS (not 343) handled it all and their records show that all qualifying GT’s have been sent codes.
The specializations will be released early next year, so just be patient.

Umm…yes it does. That’s what a promotion IS…a limited time offer. If you miss out on a black Friday sale, do you complain to the company that you aren’t going to get that massive tv for $300 off? No, you wouldn’t. If they missed out on the promotion, that’s just the way it works.
We’re not talking about a Black Friday sale here, we’re talking about a video game that tens of thousands of people have invested money into and continually do so annually. No, it’s not revoking their access to play the game, but it’s revoking their opportunity for advancement within the ranking system. Would you play something like World of Warcraft so you could stay at level 5? The details of this “Promo” weren’t even revealed until after the allotted time to play was over. If all someone had to do was log on in that time span, I’m sure they would have jumped at the opportunity. And no, a promotion is NOT a limited time offer, it is an advertisement to entice publicity so others will indulge into product, so when there is no specified time period given, or when it is unknowingly extended, it leaves consumers in the dark.
