Now spartan ops is a cool concept and I like it, I also understand this is an experimental type of thing but it needs to make some changes. First off I like the story but it barely has anything to do with my character. My character doesn’t even seem like a main character he just seem like some sort of errand boy that goes on missions that are barely related to the events that happened in the episode, In fact the missions seem like a cheap reason to feature my character. If they’re gonna make a story around Spartan Ops than my character should at least be a main character.Episode four was a step in the right direction, I did feel a lot more involved in the story but I feel like 343 could do a lot better.
Also instead of the “kill a ton of enemies then press a button” type of deal that’s going on now they need to do different stuff like more objective based stuff like having to deliver a package to somewhere while under enemy fire and while that would still kind of include the “kill a ton of enemies” mechanic it would still be pretty fresh. Honestly though they just need to do less with the “kill a ton of enemies” because that does get boring after a while.
Next they need newer maps I’m tired of revisiting the same maps in every episode, it’s alright if they have a map from a past episode or a campaign/ multiplayer map every once in a while but really I want to visit places I haven’t seen before.
Now I don’t expect them to change anything big with Spartan Ops within the next episode or in the rest of the episodes for that matter. But if they do make a season two I expect it to be a lot better than this one.
