Problem with Halo 4

I have a little problem with Halo 4.
when i insert the Disc it load the Menu, i press start, i choose “Infinity”, “War Games”, and in Game types it tell me at the bottom of the screen “Unable to load information from Xbox Live”. And when i select a game type it says again “Unable to load information from Xbox Live” and after “Downloading information from Halo 4 servers”. Bu anyway i can play in multiplayer, connect to a friend’s match…
What i have to do to solve this problem?

Have you checked your storage device for any yellow “!” files? You may also want to redownload your profile.

And just to clarify, you have noticed no issues at all with matchmaking?

Yes, i havo no yellow files in Halo 4 installed files on the Xbox HDD.
And yes, i have tried to re-download my profile with the help of Xbox support service. And there aren’t any LAN problem. I can play in multiplayer. Is a strange message.

Is the disc installed on the hard drive by chance?

Yes. I installed the Play Disc (DISC 1) first, and then i installed the DISC 2, and download all the free add-on.

If it’s not installed on the hard drive, where did you install it? On a USB?

I’ve installed them on the internal HDD of my Xbox 360.

Sorry, you said ‘no’ before that it wasn’t installed, so that was causing some confusion.

What you’re saying is, it wasn’t installed but now it is?

And despite the messaging saying it’s unable to load information, you’re able to play multiplayer without issue?

Have you tried playing your disc on any other console? Or played at a friend’s house on your account and experienced a similar issue?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The game was and is completely installed on the Xbox 360 internal HDD.

The message says “Unable to load information from Xbox Live” and after “Downloading information from Halo 4 servers”. But i can play in multiplayer without any issue.

But i think that i connect to a host for play a multiplayer match, because if someone exit form a match, the game stops in the black results screen, and under it says “selecting the host with the best connection”.

How can help you to help me?

Maybe i can take a video of the problem?

Thanks very very much!

Do you know what your upload/download speed is by chance? This is starting to sound like it may be connection related.

If you haven’t tried playing directly from the disc (uninstall from the HD), I’d give that a try as well–would eliminate possibility of a corrupt install.

Ok. Today i tried to play it from the DVD deleting it from the HDD and the message still appears. How can i test if is a connection related problem? I have no open ports on the router but my Xbox works well with upnp. Test the connection to Xbox live it returns no error and the game tells open NAT… what i can do now?

speedtest.net can tell you your upload/download speed.

Tested my internet connection near my Xbox 360 through Wifi, like is my Xbox 360.
Ping: Less than 20ms
Download: More than 10Mbps
Upload: 0.85Mbps
Packet loss: 0%
Jitter: 1ms

Honestly your upload speed could be causing problems? You may want to verify with Xbox Support, but the absolute minimum should be 1mbs for Xbox Live.

Here the link to Xbox 360 Support related page:
XBOX SUPPORT

Here they say that for the online games is requied Download speed of 3 megabits per second, a Upload speed of 0.5 megabits per second and a Ping of Less than 150 millisecond.
The max download speed requied is for HD video streaming: 3.5 megabits per second.

Very very strange…

What i have to do now to try solve this problem?
I’ve heard that some Italian friend sees this message …
What i have to do?

Maybe i try to connect my Xbox with Ethernet cable directly to my adsl.

This can improve your connection strength, however upload speed may still cause the issue.

We hope the reason we haven’t heard back from you is because your issue has been resolved. If your issue has not been resolved, please start a new thread. Thanks, and happy Halo-ing.
