Does anybody else realize how choppy, sudden, and “spazzy” the Halo 4 assassinations look? In Reach, the assassinations are very fluid and look great, and feel awesome to get. But now in Halo 4, the assassinations don’t even look appealing enough for me to want to do them. Of course, this is an opinion, but I’m sure many agree with ow choppy and spazzy they look.
Halo 4 Assassinations vs. Halo Reach Assassinations. Notice the extra fluidity and how nice they look.
EDIT: I do NOT have a problem with the actions performed in the assassinations. I have a problem with the choppy animation of them.
The assassinations themselves are awesome, they are brutal and are creative. They are just put into a choppy animation.
I disagree, they look outright brutal.
You do realize that the game isn’t finish yet, right?
have you seen the spine breaker?
They look better.
Halo Reach’s assassinations were too slow and drawn out, very cool, but they needed a bit more speed.
Halo 4’s assassinations? quick, brutal, and efficient.
Everything a Spartan is.
Seriously. Compare.
Halo 4 Grunt Assassination
Halo: Reach Grunt Assassination
Which is better?
I’m sorry bud, but as soon as the Spartan in Halo 4 did the Flag Assassination you lost all credibility…The new assassinations look awesome, can’t wait to try 'em out
> I disagree, they look outright brutal.
Yes, they look brutal. I don’t have a problem with the actions performed in the assassinations, I have a problem with the choppy animation of it.
Reach’s assassinations would look choppy if they were recorded with a potato, too.

That is an awesome assassination, my problem is the choppy and spazzy animation they are stuck into.

Then why not make it look just as fluid as in Reach, but speed it up? The Halo 4 assassinations look like the Spartan makes 4 or 5 quick movements, rather than 1 very fluid movement.

I’m not seeing “spazzy” or “choppy” animations…they look pretty damn nice. And considering the fact that all of what we’ve seen is pre-gold release, I think giving 343i the benefit of the doubt at this point isn’t that unreasonable.

I seriously don’t see it. please point out what exactly isn’t fluid about any of the assassinations.
I would have agreed with you earlier, but these new assassinations on Longbow are just brutal. I get what you mean if you look at some old E3 footage on the indoor maps, Adrift and Haven. There they were choppy (as you said) and didn’t look as cool as Reach’s. But these are just incredible. Stabbing someone and then kicking them off your knife, Skyrim style? Oh yeah
And another thing: I think they will be a lot better once they add Spartan voices (I hope they do…) It was satisfying in Reach to hear your enemy choke or yelp as you stabbed them (wow, I’m demented) and in Halo 4 it’s strangely silent… So hopefully if they add the voices it’ll sound better.
The H4 ones look amazing. Much more complex in terms of animations, and just as fluid if not more than the animations in Reach.
These looks nice…I only assassinate for humiliation.

The animations are just fine. They’re just faster than Reach’s.

This I agree with!
The assassinations are completely amazingly brutal from what I’ve seen!
Wow ! A whole thread on this issue when we can clearly see ‘work in progress’ on the Halo 4 screens …
Dude, everything we’ve seen so far are beta versions. The Halo 4 copies that have been played at E3 and other events throughout this year have all been the same beta copy and thats around 3 months old now, isn’t it? They are still adding fine touches to the game so don’t start hating it just yet. In my opinion they are way better and more brutal than Halo Reach assassinations, there are definitely more a variety of them and these are only betas.
