So I was planing on saving up for the limited edition console of Halo 5, and getting a separate limited edition physical copy of the game. My reason being that have a younger step-sister that I would like to play H5 with and I already have an Xbox One. I am a bit of a collector so I was planning on giving my current Xbox to my sister while I kept the H5 Console, and I was also planning on keeping the physical copy of the game for myself as well and having her play on the digital copy. From my understand I’ll be able to get the console a week early so I can install H5 and play it at Midnight.
So the question I ask is would it be possible for me to redeem the digital code of H5 with the console on her account and install it, and then be able to play H5 at midnight on launch day on my own Xbox account without her, or would the code have to be redeemed on my Xbox account in order to do so (She won’t be playing the game until the weekend after with me).
If so, is there any other alternative? Or will I have to make a compromise one way or the other. That being waiting until later that day to pick up my physical copy, or redeeming the digital one on my own account.
