Hello. I’ve just been chatting with a Microsoft xbox support representative who has directed me to come here and create a thread to receive support from 343 on this issue. The problem I’m having is that the 19GB update required for online play after installing the base game will not download. It gets to 3% completion and then says “installation stopped” every time, no matter what I do. I’ve tried a number of things including the microsoft recommended fix of uninstalling all game content, installing the game from the disc with the xbox in offline mode, and then going back online to download the update. Still stopped at 3%. I’ve tried restarting my modem, installing the update with no other devices on the network, using wired ethernet instead of wireless, and have been led through a number of troubleshooting steps by the microsoft representative including doing a complete power drain on the console, clearing the alternate mac address, and checking network speed/stability. I’ve downloaded multiple other things including a pre-ordered copy of halo 5 which was 60GB in size. That took two days so my internet is slow-ish, but it’s stable and things generally still download. I’ve downloaded multiple xbox one apps since attempting to download the halo:mcc update which have completed without issue. The microsoft representative was convinced that the issue is isolated to Halo: MCC, and is not a problem with either xbox live or the console itself. So, I was directed here and am wondering what to try next. I only got this console less than a week ago and so far have been unable to play anything on it due to this issue. I do wish to play the game online so I need the update. I’m from australia, if that helps.
Hey. I have EXACTLY the same problem. Never able to progress past 3%
I found that if I disconnect from the internet (“Go Offline” in settings) then install the game, it will in fact install and I am able to play the campaign modes. When I try to go online (which is the whole point), the game wants to update and then I get the “Installation Stopped” at 3% issue again. Microsoft were most unhelpful as mentioned above. I was put through the power cycle and uninstall/install routine with no change.
I can install and update other games and apps. It doesn’t seem to be the disc because I can install that offline, it seems to be some odd interaction between my console and the update. I have tried a factory reset of my console (very annoying), wireless and wired networks, changing the MAC address, clearing the saved disc data etc etc. I really really want this fixed please. I am also from Australia

So the issue is ISP related. Niishe, are you with internode or iiNet or Adam? I am and I used another ISP (I had unlimited data with vodafone for 2 months so just did a hotspot link with the xbox one) and it is currently at 24% and “ready to start”. Ill let you know if it crashes but so far so good.
