Just played this one for the first time, not bad. It was actually enjoyable except for some haggard lag, anybody know of any similarly FUN game types?
What did you like about it, or a better way to put it is, what features attracted you most about that gametype? Then I might be able to suggest something that is close =)
As much as I hate to say it, the striped down feel, the level playing feilds at spawn, the, well cramped map. The way it sets itself apart from other slayers like BTB and such
You speak in a way that indicates to me that you are a fairly hardcore gamer, one who most likely has more experience then 80 some odd games of Reach which has been out for over a year.
But hey, maybe Im wrong, if you like pro then you will love MLG, but fair warning, you will get torn up in there, but it closely matches the gametype you enjoy, you might also want to check out Arena, good luck and happy hunting
If your definition of fun is totally even what you see is what you get gameplay, MLG is the hardcorest of that.
Be warned though, if you are new to that and start frequently it, you’re going to get screwed in at least one way.

You’ll get auto muted by the other team who can’t figure out that option in audio/video resulting in mute ban.

Unless you are great, your K/D will go down the crapper. Some people only look at Competitive K/D so you may catch a break there but in game and the first K/D rating on sites show your total overall K/D.

If you go in with a full party, you’ll get matched with other full parties. It will be hard.
This is not for the faint of heart.
like these gents said, MLG is tough, harder now than in Halo 3 IMO
If you don’t want to get shlacked all night, you could SWAT maybe? no shields with the DMR one head shot for the kill, completely even playing field and extremely fast paced

That’s where you would be right, I took a LONG hiatus after 8 years of hard grinding halo in LAN parties and so on, I took my sweet time going online because I had a huge group of friends that all played hardcore. But then I moved and so on. So I came online, saw all the noobs and lost interest, with H4 coming I came back, decided to swallow my pride and decided to grind until I found a game type that felt right. But I may check out swat and mug, once I get a headset again, my dog ate mine. But definetly hit the nail on the head with that statement. I’m looking for a game that’s stripped down to its muscle and sinew. A game type that’s not simply a cR fest like FF is. Something a little more fun with a more team geared dynamic.

MLG doesn’t have big team search restrictions.
I didn’t think I saw a BTB. In the lists there, oh well, yeah, definetly pro slayer for me now, either that or swat with dmr’s, not a fan of pistol swat so far

That’s his point. You go in alone, and you have a chance to match up with teams. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
