Pro scene as exciting when H2 and H3 dominated?

Personally I enjoy watching pro players stream and compete in scrimmages and tournaments. It allows me to really understand the game at its fullest potential when talented players battle it out. I think this current scene shares a lot of similarities with the pro Halo 2 and 3 scene. It has some true potential to even expand on that. This game regarding the pro status can leave behind and create a lot of entertaining memories like Halo 2’s and 3’s scenes did.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Halo 5 will never live up to Halo 2, and Halo 3 competitive Halo EVER.

i’ve never payed attention to the pro scene. people get surprised when i say that

Back then it happened because people loved the game. Now the Pro League and HCS stuff only exists because 343 is paying everyone off and shoving it down everyone’s throats.

I don’t know about you, but I quite enjoy the game, anyways I could not care for all this Pro stuff, prefer playing the game rather than watching someone else.

I’ve never been into the competitive scene, but the way I see it is, the fact that 343 had to go and make their own tournament just to have a competitive area for Halo shows that almost no one cares for it, or are not as excited about it as they used to be for Halos 2 and 3.

It’s kinda sad, really. I remember seeing MLG and other tournaments promoting Halo all the time. Now it’s just 343 and their HCS.

Well, I used to love the Halo competitive scene, I would sit around and keep checking transfers during hurricane season, I’d watch as many matches as I could I had favourite players and teams and sometimes those players were not on my fvourite teams. I loved it. Now I couldn’t tell you any of the newer teams, I don’t even know if the older teams or older pros are still going… Is Ghostyame still going? I have not been into the scene for a while now, I sort of faded out after early Reach.

I never followed the pro scene before H5, but I love it. It’s really fun to watch and learn when I’m unable to play.

the lack of LAN support has really hurt the scene though, because 3rd parties are reluctant to host tournaments due to the online requirements.
