I just thought i’d link Naded ranting about why halo 5 caters to more casual players.

Does anyone still actually care about pro players?
Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I sure value his opinion over mine!
If that’s going to be the definitive “Halo 5 is nooby” argument…well that was just an incoherent mess. He likes the game, but doesn’t like the game. He jumps into matchmaking and people are good at the power weapons (with no discussion regarding how much tighter matchmaking is in this game compare to prior iterations, showing he’s playing people of his skill level far more frequently).
He gets to the point, finally. Halo to him is just 3 weapons and that’s about it. So he’s basically a relic of Halo past. I’m glad 343 has changed the competitive scene in Halo because old MLG games were snoozers.
Edit: lol! It gets better. “It’s fun. But it’s annoying to play on a professional level because it doesn’t take skill.” Dude…stahp.
Kinda feel like the main point of video games is for casual play not everyone can make this their job… I mean shouldn’t the primary focus be to make the experience fun for the majority of gamers

Of course but thats why they should have social and competitive.

Halo 3 had some intense MLG play as well as great social play due to the inclusion of forge and an official infection gametype. Halo 3 was a masterpiece.
you have to take into account the fact that naded had a really bad day that day. e has never said such negative things before hand, he does make some solid points but I think a majority of his rage is just built up from him having a bad day.
he did say Halo 5 was a good game. he just doesn’t like the way its being ran.

That’s why they took the game and spun the focus for MLG e-sports competitive bullcrap and axed out all of the social fun stuff that is only just now being added back. People said Halo wasn’t competitive enough so they go 100% e-sports with the game and the competitive players still piss and moan. lol
He sounds extremely negative and unsure of his own opinion.

343 does… apparently… most of the focus has been on the pro players, the halo championships and making it more pro player based. H4 seemed geared towards casuals more and h5 does seem geared towards pro players. Here’s hoping h6 finds the right balance between the two.
In my opinion thats a good thing, everyone can do normal mode not everyone can do legendary, and most people want to make a game where every can play it.
That was just an incoherent rambling. Numerous times he contradicted his own arguments…many times in the same breath. Sounded more like someone on these forums who complains just to complain.
