Pro only maps

For all you “Pro” players out there, maybe they will come up for a map for you players. You know, like in Capture the flag, odd ball grif ball, etc. It would be strictly pro. You don’t have to vote on it. And if you don’t want to play it you can pick another game

Or we can stick with Halo 4 and play the wide variety of playlists offered.

Can you rephrase what you’re trying to say?

> Can you rephrase what you’re trying to say?

He is upset because in another thread he went into a BTB game and the three map choices that came up were all Slayer Pro. He doesn’t like pro

I’m fine with Slayer pro being where it is, i just don’t like team objective. If it didn’t work in reach, it won’t work in 4.

This post reeks of condescension.

“Pro” gametypes are far from that. They are only fun in parties of 4 going against one another. Otherwise it’s a giant melee fest and is about as pro as Grifball.

Strongly disagree. BTB pro is the most fun I’ve had with the game. It’s actually civilized and competitive. Melee fest my foot.

I don’t really enjoy Pro all that much. In all the games of Pro I have done, no one has ever finished the game without time running out first. They should lower the limit or make it so people actually have to fight. The game crawls to a standstill because no one leaves heavily defendable positions without their motion trackers.

I’d prefer it to have a radar since it’s still in a very casual playlist but I agree it’s fun

I find it hilarious that a gametype that should have been in since the beginning is having such a tough take. It should not be called Slayer Pro.

Just Slayer.

After all, is was like that in every game prior. Why 343 decided to make Infinity the “regular” slayer baffles me. It has created a divide in this community that will be impossible to fix.

I would have preferred a Halo 4 without Infinity Slayer. But, since it just had to come for the evolution of this franchise, why couldn’t it have been just another taste of Halo; it should not be changing the whole idea behind Halo’s gameplay formula! It is present in MOST gametypes while the original has been thrown aside.

Absolutely. They should’ve made a spin-off and incorporated ordinance and other drastic changes to see how the community responded, not shoehorned it into Halo 4 which NEARLY EVERYONE was looking forward to thanks to the success of past installments.

I bought Halo 4 because I loved the past games. Not because it was redesigned from the bottom, unbeknownst to most, to suit casuals and bring in other FPS fans.

All the previous Halo games I played had a motion tracker…

C’mon dude, really? That’s completely beside the point. Obviously Team Slayer has a tracker. Give Pro a tracker, fine. That’s not even remotely the point. The point is Pro doesn’t have the uncompetitive ordinance/custom lodouts/instaspawn and that’s how Halo should be and has been.

Yet Team Throwdown is still one of the least populated playlists of all time. Obviously people don’t enjoy playing Pro. 90% of the time people pick Infinity anyway.

I certainly would enjoy it more with a motion tracker.

Slayer pro doesn’t seem to be working the way it is now. It only gets voted for when its the only option.

I just had a game of slayor pro on settler,(JIP), just a couple minutes in, every one but two of us droped out on the blue team, and three were left on the red team. I dont think the score went over 300 for both sides. Time just ran out. I would have droped out, but im trying really hard not to be a quitter. But 2 on 3 BTB?

Throwdown = mlg playlist of past games. How do people not understand this throwdown is first and foremost the competitve playlist and no matter what halo game it is them are always one of the least populated.

And what the hell is the OP talking about, I do not understand it at all… Anyone care to clarify.

> All the previous Halo games I played had a motion tracker…

Indeed they did. I wouldn’t mind it returning at all. I’d welcome it. I was actually surprised though with how much I enjoyed BTB without it. It isn’t as necessary except for knowing vehicle locations.

Who knows though, maybe I was just too used to having played fake Halo for 6 months to care about its absence.

> Yet Team Throwdown is still one of the least populated playlists of all time. Obviously people don’t enjoy playing Pro. 90% of the time people pick Infinity anyway.

This! This here is the biggest faulty point your side can make. Team Throwdown is a mimic of MLG; it is not true Classic. It is heavily competitive, and next to Infinity will obviously lose population to the easy hand-me-out-stuff gametype.

Slayer Pro at launch was also different than what it is now. Not to mention the lack of forge maps, oh boy. What we get from forge is closer to arena than most on-disc maps. Even Infinity Slayer plays better on some of them.

OMG have you not read the posts? THROWDOWN IS NOT PRO. It is MLG settings for extremely competitive players. Pro signifies the lack of infinity settings and radar. Yeah radar should be added to make it a true Team Slayer playlist but right now Pro is the best we got compared to Infinity.

Not to mention you people KEEP ASSUMING Infinity is SOOO much more popular since the original, completely different, slayer pro playlist failed. Just go to Throwdown you whiners! NO. Throwdown is a professional playlist for gods sake. Infinity is what we have been STUCK with thanks to the lack of a classic playlist which will be remedied by Legendary.

Sounds like a good idea
