It sounds pretty interesting. It sounds like to me that there is going to be a permanent “Pro League” playlist and maybe a “challenge the pros” type of playlist too or something. Maybe something like the MLG playlists of old? who knows… If this happens I think this is an amazing idea. Not only because it expands Halo into the competitive scene more but I could also see this as an area for pro teams to recruit people as well who want to get into that side of gaming.
I’m guessing they would make it so you have too have a fire team of 4 to go into the playlist as well, which would make sense. If I’m interrupting things right, I’m looking forward to getting some people getting and playing some pros!!! …and most likely getting our butts kicked hard, at least for the first 1000 games or so lol
I think this is a step in the right direction and maybe one of the better things 343I has done, putting Halo back on the map in the competitive scene like Halo of old was. What does everyone else think?
I like the idea as gives some good competetive play, just need to be eligible in Australia with it and will be set
Love seeing the support halo has generated and from watching the championship series the hype is real. Halo 5 has a legitimate chance to compete with other fps games at the top. The future is bright, as long as we continue to support h5 I feel 343 will deliver.

Man if it did, that would be insane! not mention if it was, Halo would be without a doubt back on the map as one of the top competitive games out there.
So the game is dry on social playlists and they want to add more pro stuff? Come on.
I wouldn’t mind if it was balanced out with more social playlists to support both sides of the community.
Oh I thought it was going to be a League between the best teams of the world. You know, instead of a tournament, a League with CLG, EG, Allegiance, Denial, Epsilon…etc with weekly games between them…

I hear what your saying, and I’ll be the first to say I’ve blasted 343I many times for there lack of playlists and social playlist especially. They have brought some and I’m sure there will be a few more but that’s all they’ll be I think for Halo 5. Fire Fight is also a pretty big social playlist too I feel. Hopefully for Halo 6 there will be a better balance off the bat.
I just think this (there announcement) will be a very good thing (and possible quite big and game changing if done right) not just for Halo 5, but for the Halo scene in general. As in future Halo games as well.

Yah what if halo 5 was just a plan to get halo popular with esports and halo 6 is where they go all out? It’d be the 2nd time halo had its glory days. But man would it be sad to watch it fade away again.

This is just for the pros and to make halo popular again. It’s not like they’re making more competitive gamemodes. Just be patient, we’ve already received over double the amount of social playlists and infection has been confirmed.
Maybe if they make “Pro” playlists all the competitive players will move there and the originals will become de facto social playlists. That would be fantastic. I’m ready for you kids to get off my lawn and play ball down the street.
I’d love to see how I stack up against pros and if they completely destroy me at least I can learn from them.

I remember when bungie had weekends where their teams would be in a certain playlist and if you beat them, you got an emblem or recognition for it.
