Pro Halo Team looking for new Talent

Hey,

As some of you may know, new game equals new pros. I am looking for some new talent to complete our roster for the HCS 1 million dollar Halo 5 tournament coming up. I have been competing since 2009 and didnt start at the top. I worked my way up by beating top teams and thats why our team name is what it is “Reality Check”

If you think you have what it takes, please post something that would interest us in possibly trying you out. I want you to be descriptive as possible and also tweet at me on twitter @suddoth1 when finished.

We are sponsored by Warheads and Polk Audio and you have to keep in mind that, we have to pick someone we can explain why to the sponsors as well.

Thank You,
Michael Suddoth

OK my name is Corey. My gt is The Amazing C4. I am 25. I recently went to HCs Atlanta to spectate because my team couldnt go. I have been playing competitive Halo since 2007 since Halo 3 came out. I quit when reach came out and played a little Halo 4. When HAlo mcc came out I started playing again but with no hope of finding a team that will be consistent with getting online every night. I have played some PGLs and have faced pros before and know what it takes to be a good team. I just need a good team to shine. I dont want to waste anyones time but I am willing to try out. BUt I dont want to be judged on just a few games of play. I know setups and I am very good at call outs. I am willing to play a few hours every night. I do have a small family but THat wont be a problem as long as we have a schedule. I work for a company that produces muscle Pharm prducts and might be able to get another sponsor If I have a dedicated team. I have a good consistent shot and know when to hold back and be patient. I can represent the team with a good attitude. I usually go positive and retain a at least a 1.2 kd against good kids. If you wanna give me a shot hit me up. I am not looking for cocky players who want to blast me for not doing something right. I can run flag very well and stay with teammates and am good at flanking when necessary and under pressure. I am respectable to others and take criticism very well just not yelling. I love the support role and do it very well. If you have any questions let me know. thanks for your time.

Hi my name is Dakota, My gamertag is Avadroid. I’m going on 17 years old and I have been playing halo since 2010. I haven’t got into competitive halo but I am looking to start somewhere. I’m home schooled and have 4 hours of school a day so I am able to practice/run games at anytime as long as needed because I can pick when I start school work each day. I feel halo 5 is the game for me to make a name for myself and I hope you will consider me to tryout for your team. Thank you for your time. You can reach me on xbox live gamertag:Avadroid or My twitter: @Avadroid

Hey, my names David. I’ve been playing competitive Halo since the good old Halo 2 days. I love playing Halo, but more importantly I love winning money. I have a small family to provide for as well to drive me to compete even harder than before while doing something I enjoy. Have not went to any official MLG sponsored events, but did go to the Doritos Chicago Combine, which is also where I live, in a suburb of Chicago. I’ve been to multiple LAN centers and LAN events, played in Gamebattles tourneys as well as singles, doubles, and team ladders. Was good friends and played with Nighmare throughout my Halo 3 time, getting scrims and playlist time with him, teammates such as Omega, Insaiyan, etc. LAN’d on teams with and against pros that lived in the Chicagoland area such as T2, Totz, and Fearitself at a local LAN center called Game Pazzo that was open a few years ago but closed now due to the slow competitive gaming scene. I will be able to play almost every evening for 4-5 hours past 11pm, and then have an open schedule Monday-Wednesday to practice. Of course, I don’t know the callouts to Halo 5 currently, but am a very talkative and interactive player. Willing to go -20 if that means I be the objective player and win the game while my teammates out-slay and rack up the kills. Winning is winning. Rather than telling and showing someone new at competitive gaming how to play, how to work together, etc, I already know how and am willing to figure out how to make this team the best team we can be and work our way up to top spots and make a name for this team. Thank you for your time.

Pretty cool to see a real pro using the forums to recruit. Way to be aggressive about finding new talent. Good luck Reality Check!

First, I want to say sorry in advance if this is no longer applicable. Nothing here suggests otherwise even though the thread is a little old, and your twitter seemed to suggest the same. I figured that I may as well throw this in; The worst that can happen is I end up being wrong and this is closed, in which case sorry but no harm done.

Now, on to the meat. I realise this is going to be a hard sell but that still gives better chances that not trying here at all. I am a 17 year old British son of a lower class family. My gamer tag is benteddy (My kid self did not have the best taste in names; The long overdue name change is coming soon, heh). I have no competitive halo experience and despite having known the competitive scene existed I never tried to get into it until recently. Then I saw the Pax Prime showdown unfold and I was hooked. At that moment I decided that this was one of the most amazing things I’d seen in my life. I was planning on getting started by throwing a team together to play at Insomnia 56 should it announce a Halo Tournament as one of its events (which it has done consistently before and thus I believe is highly likely) however if this is still relevant then it’s an amazing and unmatched opportunity.

I may not have done anything in the competitive scene, but for what little its worth I was raised on Halo. I picked the first game up when I was about six and the series has remained as being my favourite game of all time, though as I grew the reasons for this changed. While originally I cared for the game to rack up kills and perform awesome but impractical maneuvers, as I grew older I came to appreciate the game more for its emphasis on teamwork and map control; Knowing where everyone is because you and your team are relaying back and forth, knowing all the weapon spawns, making sure you have control of the best locations on the map, keeping eyes on all the exists to a particularly nasty spawn the enemy team has been forced into- There is something about that which just feels so perfect; There is no describing how you feel when everything is working out.

But I hit a major problem; few on Xbox Live care to play it like this. Most are far too wrapped up in the killing or trash talking the guy on the other end to care about callouts- If they even bother to use a mic at all. The majority of my friends are like this as well, far more eager to jump in and start spraying and praying or to quit out and go to other games when we hit a proper challenge. Any time I put in to learning weapon spawns, callouts and such is completely wasted in this case because half the time nobody even cares.

Well you know what? Sod those guys.

I’m going to go to the competitive scene where people appreciate the callouts you give, where you can expect your back to be covered if you ask a guy to back you up, where you can expect your team to work with you to cap those objectives rather than trying to look good by getting the most kills. While those guys are trash talking each other, I’ll be playing the game how its meant to be played, fighting tooth and nail with my teammates to come out on top- And making a pretty packet when we win. Whether I make it or crash and burn, I’ll be giving it my best shot.

I would say that I am quick to learn and slow to forget, though I do have a slight tendency of falling into old habits. I have good BR (though it can get a little shaky under pressure) and am fairly good with nades. I am not the best sniper but I do well with the sword and am on point with my call outs once I’ve gotten the maps down. I may lack the experience of longer term players, but I don’t lack the knowledge or the skills needed to build up ones abilities. Above all, I have the determination that every esports player needs in order to make it

As I said, this is a hard sell; I’ve no previous competitive experience , I’m not amongst the best player you’ll see or anything like that (but I’m no slouch and I do learn quickly, I am certainly good at the game.) and I’m not even based in North America (which I noticed invalidates me from the HCS, though I’m assuming the actual world championship will not have that restriction. It wouldn’t really be a world championship if it only covered North America.) But I have total love of the game, a will to learn (and can do so quickly and effectively) and I have a determination to succeed that’s driven by my need to prove to everyone around me who has doubted me that I can and will play Halo professionally, no matter how many hurdles the world puts in the way. If you give me this chance, I will do everything humanly possible to ensure I don’t let you down.

Been playing competitively for a while, been to Events and Known around the Community. I’ve beaten top players on the daily… Just need a chance to prove. Hit me up

Hey my Gamertag is Jake the Ripple, i have been playing Halo semi competitively since Halo 2. I went to MLG columbus a while back. I have never gotten real competitive just because of my school load and being a 3sport athlete in high school. But with MCC i played in the HCS but just with my buddies. We didnt win to many games just because not all my teammates were as competitive as me but we played against team liquid and took them to game 5. during the Halo 5 beta i played against Walshy and Ninja and beat them and eventually ran a few matches with them. I am a great communicator and team player. i cna take any role on a team. im a good slayer but i excel at running the flag and bomb. one great moment i had was in HCs matchmaking i got a Kilamanjaro. With the release of Halo 5 i will have more time on my hands to commit to playing Halo 5 competitively. ill contact you on twitter as well. Thank you for your consideration.

I’ll just let my gameplay speak for itself? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BywUm2WwzG0

I look forward to either playing with you or against you in the HCS

Name is Justin, played in multiple halo tournaments over the years, mainly Halo CE: where I was in the infamous clan “StK” If you ask the pros of the old they will tell you I am a legit fit onto any pro caliber team. StK Damien was my old handle and I go by SINISTER JT now. I am 32 so I am seasoned and easy to communicate with. I am good with every weapon and game play style. I can play D and or be an aggressor/front man. I have been a little out of the loop for some time now, but I am still a way better than the average player and I easily improve and take my gaming to another level. Hit me up SINISTER JT for a tryout. I have placed top 5 multiple times in tourneys and have also taken 1st in some tourneys along the way. Ask the common pros, Ogres, Walshy and even MLG Puckett can confirm that I once was and possibly still could be a Halo pro. I hope this is enough to entice you. I live in Utah and work days so nights and weekends are perfect for a tryout. I hope to hear from you!

Thanks for the read,

Justin

similar to what ben teddy says above i as well am not from north america but from sweden so yeah its really far way from north america if I were ever to compete with/against you but that maý change if my country gets the opportunity to compete. Am 20 years old, have played halo mcc and have get a fe nice kills here and there and I played the h5 beta. I am somewhere between a average player and professional, have also played the HCS playlist up to a rank 9. Though I have not play halo for a week or two I get good with practice.I know teamwork is important, weapon callouts to be important to take notice of and If I got the opportunity to play with you, I would try my best to try to make that happen it it were made possible.

Well I’ve been playing since Halo:CE and haven’t tried any tourneys yet doesn’t mean I’m not competitive. Currently my best record is on MCC 1.4 k/d my w/l is 3. So I think I’m pretty decent for a player who enjoys Halo.

Id like to run with you guys gt- JM ShineDown

I think what these guys are looking for are players who have competed in MLG/HCS for a long time now and are approaching the stage where they are ready to play on a pro team. So far none of these posts would have captured their attention.
