I’ve sent quite a few messages over the last week or so and noticed that I wasn’t getting any replies at all. Assuming that people weren’t just being jerks, I did some digging… and I noticed that by default the privacy settings are set to “only receive messages from buddies”.
While I understand the idea behind such a feature, it would’ve been nice to have been told that I couldn’t receive any messages from other people. Plus I’m sure it wasn’t on that setting before, so it has changed without me doing anything.
I think that the default setting should be for public messages to be allowed or at the very least it should be more visible that such a setting exists and what your preferences are.
