It would just be cool if we could change the privacy settings in game to open/friends/invite only. And give the party leader the ability to boot people.
It just happens sometimes that you forget to change them in the menu.
You’re playing a custom game with friends or body acting and someone joins that you didn’t want to and/or starts interrupting you.
We should also be able to change teams while we’re in a Forge session. It happens often that you’re not in the same team as someone else and then it’s difficult to see where they are sometimes.
Like this post if you agree so more people get to see it. Thank you.
You correctly noted the solution to your problem: you forgot to change it in the menu. Solves all your problems right away, every time.

I know, but still, it happens. And if you want to change it you first have to end the game to then change it, which shouldn’t be needed to.

Ensure that it doesn’t, then. I don’t know if you play competitive matches of any type (you really should, it’s quite fun), but adding such a feature would absolutely wreck havoc for those matches. There’s a reason why tournament organizers make it an explicit rule that your FT/Party settings must be “private” or “invite only” - it works 100% and doesn’t cause any problems in-game.
Not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, but this is only a problem for you because you forget to set it up correctly. This problem of unwanted people joining you is easily fixable. Just make a practice of doing it at the start of each session and you’ll be just fine.
