Primordium's Cover Art = Lots of Halo 4 Hints

For those of you unaware of this, both Halo: Cryptum and Primordium’s covers consist of Halo 4 Concept Art.

Primordium’s Cover Art

Here’s a few important things about the image

  1. In Primordium’s cover art, a possible massive conflict is being portrayed featuring potential Promethean ships mobilizing and some UNSC personnel watching the ships from a distance on a Halo ring. All of these ships appear to be headed in the same direction, so could it be a portal that Master Chief must pursue the Ancient Evil into(Ala Halo 2 ending).

  2. But what’s very strange about this art is the Halo ring in the background. At a glance, it may very well seem like the average Halo ring. But if you take a closer look, it seems to be unfinished and is a bit too curved to the left side to look like past Halo rings. It honestly looks more like one of the Ark’s may petals.

  3. Another thing, it appears that mutliple Forerunner cities seems to be present on the Halo ring. Possibly hinting at even deeper exploration of the Forerunners than we may have originally thought.

  4. On the right of the ring, there seems to be enormous asteroids in the far distance. Parts of Requiem’s shell?

  5. And finally, what the heck is that huge, dark structure that dominates nearly the entire top half of the image?

This is just concept art. But it’s Halo 4 concept art. And considering the fact that most of the concept art we’ve seen from Halo 4 is fairly similar to the final product, I think we can expect a part of the game to mirror this image, specifically the game’s climax.

And here’s this crazy little theory that I have about the game’s climax and ending: Requiem’s shell is partially destroyed, therefore explaining the ring and asteroids(Possibly remains of Requiem’s shell in this case), and the Ancient Evil loses the battle at the ring and flees back to Requiem to escape via a portal to a Forerunner installation with Master Chief on his tail.

And with this shot of a past build of the game’s main menu(Probably the E3 build), all of this may actually happen.

But how does a Halo ring arrive to Requiem? What could have shattered the planet’s shell? And why wouldn’t the UNSC Infinity pursue these ships and the Ancient Evil(Spartan Ops is six months after Halo 4)? All of this will be answered in just three months.

Cortana: "You know where he’s heading."
Master Chief: "Same place we are."

This may also be the case with the game’s ending.

When Cortana said “You know where he’s heading”, I assumed that she was referring to the Infinity. And the ring on the cover of Primordium is Installation 07, and the Flood and the Forerunners were fighting on it, explaining the ships.

> When Cortana said “You know where he’s heading”, I assumed that she was referring to the Infinity.

No, no, no, I know that. But i’m saying that the dialogue between Cortana and Chief might actually describe how the game will end: With Master Chief going to the same place the Ancient Evil is going.

Ah, alright, I see. That would set the stage for the next few games quite easily.

I just don’t want it to echo Halo 2’s ending too much, that would probably piss many off.

Interesting. Very Interesting.
