I’d think it would be cool to add pride skins into H5 to show support for the LGBT community after the recent shootings. I made a crude one for the AR. (Seen here: Dropbox - File Deleted ) its only an example but i’m sure that the art team a 343 could do a better job than me as I only have a simple image manipulation program. Does anyone else think this would be cool idea?
I think your heart is in the right place, but unfortunately there would be too many tragedies, where would you draw the line? That said, it looks cool, I would tweet the link over to @brav, he may retweet or take it further.

I guess we have pizza/fries skins, toy skins, 'MURICA skins, as well as Pro Team Skins… Why not throw pride skins in there as well, just for the hell of it?

It is a nice thought, but as mentioned above there are way to many tradgies to honor in a video game. Players can probably express pride through the color scheme of their emblem, or their clan tag. Making a dedicated emblem for it, makes it difficult to draw the line for other tragedies.

That’s the rainbow one right? Is it possible 343 put the rainbow AR and Magnum skins in for LGBT recognition? I don’t know they story behind those, if there is one.

That being said, that would be awesome.
Think of the group you’re marketing this to. A majority of immature children, who consider <a word meaning a bundle of sticks> an insult. What good would this really do? I can see it being more misused then actually bringing relevance to the issue. Also, as heartless as this sounds, halo has a longer shelf life then this tragedy. The number of people playing halo will far exceed the number of people actively mourning this in say, a year. Shootings are a dime a dozen in the US, there will be another one. Not to say that I don’t think this is a great idea, but finally, singling “gay pride” out is something that sort of irks me. There’s very many issues that plagues the human race lately. Muslims are hated. Refugees are turned away and killed. Racism still exists. Gay pride is great and all, but you can’t just single out one thing and throw it in a game “just cause”, it devalues other (more) serious issues.
I don’t know if that’s very appropriate… I mean… Mourning a shooting by putting a rainbow skin on a gun you also use to shoot people… You’re heart’s in the right place, but I don’t think violent video games are a place for something like this. And if you really want a pride skin just use “Ehh, Arr” and if anyone asks just tell them it’s your way of showing respect

Your heart is in the right place. And having pride skins. But I would say it should be just to support the LGBT. And not tie it to the shootings. Or maybe just have a pride emblem and you still can show your support… Good luck! Bravo would be the one for a answer for you if he sees this.
