So… what is included in the buy2play part of Infinite? Only the campaign? I just hope they won’t charge us 60€ then.
Are there any infos about that out yet?

Campaign must be purchased, but multiplayer is “free” with paid battle passes. As for pricing it’s very likely campaign will be 60$, or more if your government destroyed your dollar value like mine did.
Granted I don’t think there’s been any official word quite yet, but I have heard campaign buyers get the first battle pass “free”.
I imagine the campaign will be full price.
But let’s not forget about GamePass. You can play day one without extra fees. Alternatively, you get a discount with GamePass if you wish to buy the game outright too.
Or you could use Microsoft Rewards to get gift cards to reduce the price you pay for the game too.
There are a lot of options on how you choose to access the game now.
Like everyone said it is full price. It seems like challenges will be part of the Campaign so you will be able to get some progression there. It all comes down to if the Halo Campaign is worth that to you or not.

Of course they will.
If you wanna understand why, educate yourself a bit about how economics work,
about inflation and the evergrowing production costs of developing video games.
Apart from that, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be full-price.
SP games have always been sold for full-price.
Infinite won’t be any different.
Gamestop’s preorder price is 69.99 euro which is about 83 dollars.
I’d say that is the final price.

The gaming industry’s profit has significantly grew at a much faster rate than inflation cost to be fair. Halo Infinite’s campaign seems like it is on track to provide much more “value” than any Halo game before it. The perception of value obviously is subjective though.
even if i have to pay 60 euro for the infinite campaign i will do it because i believe in 343 and i am sure it will live up to my expectations.

Of course they’ll charge full price - it’s a full game.
The multiplayer is a separate game entirely.

I’d imagine campaign, perhaps coop campaign a la spartan ops. €60 seems a fair price. Considering this isn’t a standard halo campaign. It is more like a farcry game and no1 gave 2 hoots when that series dropped multiplayer and stayed at the same rrp.
Hell rachet as beautiful a game as it is and looks like a blast is 70 and thats what 8 hours? Only played a small portion at a friends but what I played was awesome, side note shout out to insomniac for being crazy good at project management.
But yeah there been threads on this topic already and I can’t see why people are so quick to complain.
Theres gamepass for a start.
I own every collectors edition in the franchise and I’m not gonna go out and buy infinite because I don’t have to. I do hope they do some sort of gameless collectors pack and I may buy it physically later for the sake of the shelf but ya I expect it will be a 60rrp product and I don’t think it will be lacking in content for the cost.
I mean I had no issue with doom(played a couple matches of mp), doom eternal(yet to play MP) or the wolf games being full price.
If anyone is worried about the price for campaign, I’d highly recommend just getting Game Pass. It’s an insanely good deal and I haven’t ever regretted signing up for it at all in the year or so I’ve been using it.

OP is wrong that games are priced based on value but you are also wrong to think they are based on production costs. While the average price increase over the years may reflect that, games are priced at a level that maximizes profit. If they used a cost model there would be no such thing as free to play games and all AAA titles would have wildly different retails instead of being exactly the same.
Option 1: $60 on PC, $70 on Xbox, plus whatever BP costs (for those of you getting it).
Option 2: Simply be signed up to Game Pass for like… the $15/mo it costs, and play for “free” along with whatever else is in the GP library, plus BP (if you’re getting it).

Game Pass is honestly such a fantastic deal even at full price. Using cashback sites etc. you can preload up to 3 years for the cost of one AAA game.
