Previous Halo Maps + New Map Ideas you want -

in Halo 5?

I got a ton I’d love to be in Halo 5 but most will likely be made in forge.

Kind of hard to describe but Ive had ideas which I wouldnt be able to build in forge due to the object restriction and the general theme of the map.

Circular map themed of the hospital in reach with a man cannon in the centre, the map is very vertical with several levels 5 in total

The next map is an underwater facility, the map is very dark and is based of the underworld part of metal arms with the spiders. The map has three level with the map being circular and the platform spin around the centre structure. The map is enclosed.

The next map is sort of a forrunner remake of heretic. The map has a cannon man on each side and has walkways and floating platforms to the middle. It has dips and rises on the bottom floor (its two floored)

These are some of my ideas.

I couldn’t stress this enough but make all the maps ‘bigger’ and if people want small maps then they can use part of the maps for simple games like ‘rumble pit’.

I’ve always wanted a very Flood centered map. Not that miniscule crap that we got in Isolation and Cold Storage…

I want to slay my enemies in a full on, flesh-ridden, blood dripping, and gut-wrenching flood hive.

Along with a Flood centered map, I also want some more Covenant maps. There were none of these in halo 4; and ironically, Covenant themed maps have had a history of being among the best in the series.

I mean who hated perfectly symmetrical and arena style maps such as Midship and Zealot? Who hated Snowbound (okay, everyone did)

Who hated Damnation? Who could resist the endless fun in Chillout?

Why did 343i refuse to give us any Covenant themed maps in Halo 4? Did they hate smooth edges and flawless gameplay? Did they dislike the sheer complexity yet simplicity that these maps gave?

I WANT more Covenant themed maps!

I liked Snowbound.

But anyway, we do need more Covenant and Flood maps.

They were lacked completely in Halo 4 and there is no excuse why they weren’t part of the game.

I would like to see many of Halo 5’s maps inspired by some of the best designs in the past games. I’m not asking for remakes.

For example, Epitaph was inspired by Prisoner, while Valhalla was inspired by Blood Gulch.

One caveat though, only one map inspired by midship. As forgers will probably make hundreds of remakes/successors to that map anyways.

I’d love to see maps based off of:

Halo 2

Zanzibar
Waterworks
Burial Mounds
Colossus
Terminal
Headlong
Lockout
Foundation
Midship
Warlock

Halo 3

Construct
Ghost Town
Guardian
High Ground
Rat’s Nest
The Pit

Wow, I named a lot of Halo 2 maps but they were truly amazing.

Ideally though, this is if we don’t have sprint… sprint drastically changes how a map is played. I loved the Pit in Halo 3 but it plays very poorly in Halo 4, even if it is one of the better 4v4 maps in the game.

The pit seems to play very well if not better with sprint in halo 4 IMO, plus monolith is a very good map in halo 4 based of old map design, so they could work, not all of them due to sprint. If they had classic playlist they could release a map pack with some of these that werent featured in the game to start with, which dont have to revolve around sprint possibly.

Why is Relic and Containment not on that list?

1 flag CTF

A map similar to High Ground, set at night with heavy rain with the attackers having to sneak in and get the flag. The only thing helping them is their motion tracker until they are within a couple of feet.

I’ve made this kind of level before in Far Cry and it was a blast, always wanted to bring it into Halo.

In terms of classics returning:

  • Relic
  • Turf
  • Containment
  • High Ground
  • Last Resort

I would say Sandtrap but I’d prefer something that size but different and with Elephants still!

Chrion TL-34 please, I miss the chaos of that map.

Hell yeah! That map was the bomb!
