Not only was this the first Halo game for me since Reach, that I was unable to purchase a physical legendary copy of at midnight, but it’s also the first game that I’ve been unable to play with a physical copy on it’s release day. Yes I know, first world problems, but I seriously have every book, and love the lore of the Halo universe. I play Halo because of the campaign, so I feel like the rug has been “yoinked” from under me. Sorry for venting, but this is the only place that I can vent, where people will understand how I feel.
This is not a first world issue. This is bad practice. Don’t be afraid to say it how it is. I feel your pain. This is not how games should be releasing
There does seem to be a lack of “oompf” with games because of the day 1 patches.
Midnight release doesn’t even make sense to do now because it will be a minimum of an hour before you can play your game.
It’s a massive bummer but I feel like that’s just the state of games these days. I never bothered buying a physical copy of MCC or H5 because they almost feel like completely different games once you’ve installed all of the updates. You have every right to be frustrated about this and I feel your pain. I just hope 20 years from now, we have some way to find, store and play these games without having to be for a port or remaster.
How’s the rest of the set? Any booklet?
Unfortunately there was no “legendary” edition for Infinite…
