It kicks you all the way out to the Find Game screen! It kicks you completely out of the lobby unless I’m missing something. This is ridiculous. How else are you supposed to stay with the players you just played with?
You don’t now, that’s the point. You just play with your friends and find new games against new opponents each game.
If you aren’t playing with friends, this is accurate - to match how previous games played. If you’re with friends, you should be kept in the same lobby/party.

In the previous game the only time you left the post-game lobby was when you told it to leave after closing the carnage report. This is an issue that they said they were going to fix whether you are in an existing party or are just by yourself.
