In this video it discusses how if Halo 3 Anniversary happens it would need to be a standalone game (343 said Halo 2 Anniversary would not happen but it did, so Halo 3 Anniversary may happen). We have the same opinion on Halo 3 Anniversary and if it were to be included in Halo Master Chief Collection it would dilute an already split game. So Halo 3 Anniversary would need to be standalone and all of its original features remastered, to keep up with remasters like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or at least before supply drops were included (but at least all of Cod 4 maps will return at some point). So all maps would be remastered and an improved Forge. For good measure Halo 3: ODST should be remastered with Firefight to repay us for how Halo MCC and Halo 5 ended up. With a true Halo 3 Anniversary done right it preserves Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST’s legacy.
Now to preserve Halo: CE’s legacy, Halo Custom Edition would need to be ported to Xbox One. That way we get Halo Combat Evolved with proper multiplayer, so not diluted, and we get mods for Halo on console!
To preserve Halo 2, Halo 2 on PC would be ported. In addition to all of the original Halo 2’s features it would also have access to its PC only simplistic “Forge” mode.
Halo Custom Edition, Halo 2 PC, and Halo 3 Anniversary would all be Play Anywhere titles and PC players can finally finish the fight.
Did you just ask for 4 more halo remasters? There is absolutely no reason to desire this IMO. We have too many remasters as if is. Why do you want them to focus exclusively on the past and retelling the same stories? How could halo move forward as a franchise?
The past is preserved just fine as it is. You can literally play every Halo game on the Xbone.
Wouldnt you prefer resources be put into new games with new stories?

Not if they continue in the vein of 4 and 5.

Halo 3 Anniversary would be for the ten year anniversary for Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST would be remastered for compensation for Halo MCC and Halo 5. While Halo Custom Edition and Halo 2 PC would be ports. The ports allow Xbox players, plus PC players due to Play Anywhere, to just play their preferred Halo title without the diluted and somewhat working Halo MCC. Halo Custom Edition should be ported at the very least so we have access to mods for Halo.
While we can play the Halo Trilogy on Halo MCC, it is uncommon to play the wide variety of game modes for each title whenever you want. I have always wanted to play Halo CE Big Team Battle but I have never managed to find a match on MCC. Now if Halo CE was its own title on Xbox One then people who want to play BTB would be matched with people who want to do the same thing. So the true multiplayer will be preserved by Halo Custom Edition port and Halo 2 PC port.

343i can handle it. They remastered Halo: CE and pushed out Halo 4 a year later. Halo 4 was not amazing, but it was complete and worked fine. I also do not blame Halo: CE Anniversary for Halo 4’s gameplay which is what most gripe about.
I think we should only remaster Halo 3 and move on from remasters.

I’m pretty sure Saber Interactive handled a lot of the CEmake so I suppose they could outsource some more remasters. I just really don’t see a reason to. Every game is currently playable on the Xbone in HD. That’s all the remastering I need.
