It would be kind of cool if 343i were to add some campaign dlc that would allow us to play some missions as blue team that took place before the fall of reach. Just thought it would be a fun idea that would expand on the lore a bit and give people that dont read the novels a little more background of blue teams history.
I doubt it would happen, but it’s a cool idea.
People who don’t read the extended universe should read the extended universe. Simple as that, no need for DLC. Also in my opinion we will never see story DLC in HALO. It wouldn’t be right!
Probably wouldn’t work without majorly nerfing the covies. You’d have no shields and be reliant on healthpacks.
Not to mention most missions are “kill covies, save marines, then run before the covies glass the planet.”

I agree that people should read it. Ive been playing Halo from the beginning and just recently got into the lore, currently on First Strike, but id love to play as blue team when the Spartan 2 program was still secretive.

Thats true, i didnt really consider that lol.
People don’t necessarily have to read the first book if they’ve pre-ordered the LE or LCE versions of Halo 5. I personally love the inclusion of an animated series based on the books. It gives people more options in how they consume the expanded universe.
If only we got an animated version of Contact Harvest just to get that steamy scene were Johnson finds out what the ladies like.
Wishful thinking…wishful thinking XD
