This is what Master Chief asks The Librarian when she says she aided in our as advancement. I think possibly she helped us is because we are gonna be judged the Precursors. What do you think?
She prepared him for the Composer. Thats how he survived the blast when the “egg-heads” died…
Do you mean the advancement of the human race. She wanted them to be able to rise up and take their place upholding the mantle. Just as the forerunners had done before them. As for the precursors, they are supposedly dead or at least outside of the galaxy. The forerunners killed most of (if not all of) them off.

Anyways, i am rather curious to what she meant by that before they are interrupted by the ever persistent Didact. Obviously it’s not the composer because she explains that to Chief already (to one that mentioned that early) but it’s more broader than that. She’s prepared Master Chief (and eventually humanity?) to not just take the Mantle but possibly be ready for the return of the Precursors/Flood (essentially the same thing as explained by the Timeless One IIRC).
It may be a long shot but i think Silentum is going to revealing some interesting things that could explain what she was preparing Humanity for (besides the obvious reclamation of the Mantle).
Lots of spoilers here… you’ve been warned…
The Forerunners modified the Human genome to essentially de-volve them a point in our evolutionary history thousands of years in our past (from the perspective of the current story). The Composer was designed to basically break down human genetic material so that it could be used to build the Prometheans. The Librarian essentially re-evolved Chief’s genetic code to the point the Human genome was at its peak. The Composer was designed only to interact with the modified, de-volved human genome. This is why it works against any other human it interacts with, but not with the newly re-evolved Chief.
Chief is now, we assume, the only restored human in existance.
