Preparing to uninstall MCC

Almost every platform tracks the install population. If the developer sees people are uninstalling en mass that’s a clear indicator of negative feedback. Whether or not a developer addresses this feedback is a different story. Even if players aren’t making purchases, having an active player count is still a valuable metric. Folks who uninstall would make the strongest stance against mtxs because they would contribute absolutely nothing to any of the MCC’s population and install metrics. Continuing to play the game and ignoring the mtxs is probably the second best thing to do.

Name me one single time this argument was ever valid. You probably can’t because it’s never worked before.

To me, that’s the worst possible thing you can do, because it shows companies you don’t actually care enough about the game to uninstall it when something predatory is added. MTX in all shapes and forms ARE predatory, to varying degrees of course, but still predatory in nature.

OP is being ridiculous, but I wouldn’t get complacent. I don’t think there’s a lot of money to be made from selling Spartan points as the system is currently, so if they’re taking the time to add MTX, that means they’ll be doing something else to encourage people to buy. I expect any new cosmetics will have a FOMO timer, and cost more points than we’re used to.

Imagine they made the Exchange items cost more Spartan Points to push MTX and that’ll be when I’ll probably drop Halo

Personally I find that buying into the MTX system is the worst thing any player can do. If players could stand united and refuse to make a single purchase then maybe games like Infinite would rethink their whole strategy. Unfortunately whales will dump unreasonable amounts of cash on the dumbest scams like Diablo Immortal. Advocating for the removal mtxs is to protect the consumer from themselves.

Speaking of uninstalls, I wonder how many people have permanently uninstalled the disgusting scam that is Halo (In)finite. I can bet it’s at least 90.000% of the playerbase, and obviously I am one of those hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people who permanently uninstalled it.

If MCC does get MTXs, I WILL either uninstall it or move it to my external hard drive so I can make way for games like Saints Row 2, DOOM (2016), or the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. Looking more at uninstall though.

exactly because people will continue to buy cosmetics because it’s an addiction. they think they are getting something good.

crappy skins add nothing worthwhile to games. they simply exist to make money.

now i’ll admit some skins in certain games look ok but most are just ridiculous looking and out of place.

skins were good in the begining when they were just basic but as time went on, they got more edgy. wacky and plain awful. (applies to any game with cosmetics)

now we have crossovers and events with really weird skins on countless games that are mostly just pure cringe.

most developers / pubs seem to put comsetics at the forefront of everything. everything else comes second. this is why games have been so broken and incomplete as a lot of effort seems to be wasted on stores and mtx.

c@ncer on gaming is what it is.

back on topic, i’m not uninstalling because i can ignore the cosmetics and just play the game(s).
no $$$ from me.

This! Personally I like the crazy cosmetics, but I like having to do something to EARN them.
