PreOrders // Specialization

Okay at Comic con they announced that Specializations is an extended enlistment that you choose 1 after reaching the MAX RANK

meaning its sort of like different paths of choice for what you preferre to do. The specialization only increases when you do those particular things.
think of it as a rank extension like the bonus 10 in reach to get to inheritor but not anywhere as long.

Once you finish a specialization you get
1 - armor skin
1 - weapon skin
and emblem

you can then choose a different specialization
so LE halo 4 lets you get all 6 paths at once but you still have to get to MAX RANK to start earning.

So here is the question the REWARDS are they going to be the Preorders…?
So then would that mean Preorders are early access to players…?
Or are the preorders exclusive and we get a whole different option to earn…?

i have no clue what you are talking about but i would like some one to explian this to me

> i have no clue what you are talking about but i would like some one to explian this to me

Same here.

In it’s simplest terms, they’re the exact same as Commendations from Reach, except instead of credits, you get weapon/armour skins and an emblem.

Erm… I’ll try to explain it. If I’m completely off or I don’t answer the question, I apoligize.

So, when you usually play the game (Standard Edition), and you get the max rank, you can start choosing specializations. Normally, you would only be able to choose from one or two specializations at a time. If you have the Limited Edition, when you hit the max rank, you have access to six of them at a time. (I believe there are 10 total). Doing these specializations will get you some exclusive bonuses (exclusive to that specialization).

I believe the specialization bonuses (the things you get for doing specializations) are not the pre-order bonuses. I’m pretty sure you get a whole new bunch of options for your specializations.

the best way to describe specializations is to look at their description under the limited edition pre-order

Okay, let me try to clear some things up:

When you reach the maximum rank, you get to pick a specialization. (Even with the preorder bonuses, you still have to do this step.) The two examples giver at the panel and in the sparkast were sniper and vehicles. To each specialization there are 10 levels. Things you unlock from each level are stuff such as armor skins, emblems, and ultimately a package that compliments that style of play. It was not mentioned how many items each specialization rank unlocks, though. You are not limited to picking one specialization and having to complete all ten levels . You can mix it up each time and pick something different.

so does this mean it will be easier to reach max rank?

> so does this mean it will be easier to reach max rank?

I assume so. It won’t be like going to Inheritor 10 times for each class, lol. I’m going to assume it is set up on a basis of 25 or 50 levels to reach max. Then you reinlist into the next specialization and start all over.

15 Sparkast

There is some info on specializations in the new sparkast.

Cheers for the informative post, it cleared up a lot of confusion for me.

One question remains though, what exactly are these “packages”?

There are two types: Tactical packages and Support Package.

They modify how your character plays by say allowing you to equip two primary weapons instead of a primary and secondary weapon or they could be subtle like having your radar show up in your scope when you zoom in. There are a decent amount of them already revealed and it looks like there are going to be many more. My advice is to check out the Halo 4 page (click the Halo 4 emblem at the top of the page) and check out the plethora of information available!
