Me and a party of other people were talking about preordering Halo 4. While chatting one of the guys said that he spent his full $100 on the preorder. I spent my whole $65 on preodering Halo 4, so I might be missing something. I asked him why did it costs so much and he said that he’s getting the bonus contents such as the DLC maps, 90 minutes of a movie, and some other stuff. I’m not getting the bonus content? And I thought it came with the preorder?!

You got yourself the standard edition which comes with just the preorder skin and the game itself. LE, which is $100, is more complex. It comes with the skin, DLC maps, 90 minutes of movie, a blue print of the UNSC Infinity, etc. Bottom line, your not getting any of the other than the skin for the standard. I recommend you get the LE, but since u got STAND, i don’t know what to tell you.
You got the Limited Edition and whatever bonuses your store provides, he got the Limited Edition, which contains so much more.

the only thing i feel left out on is getting the dlc really. After reach [legendary] i vowed never to spend that much money on a video game, that statue is going to be kept in its box for a while unless i get a good price on it.

I got it from Gamestop and I would spend over $100 bucks for a Halo game. I bought an Xbox just to play Halo, so I want everything it gives.

In that case you will not be able to pre order the limited edition. Gamestop ran out of copies that they had available for pre order a week or two ago. if you really want the limited edition you’ll have to get it from another retailer.

Actually he will have a problem seeing that Gamestop no longer has copies of the limited edition available for pre order.

I remember when I went to Gamestop and bought a PS Vita, the cashier asked me do I play Halo. I said that I preordered the game and gave its location. He said “Dang, that’s far. You should cancel your preorder from there and transfer it here”. Do you think its possible to transfer it to a retailer that has the LE copies and pay them an extra $35?

Of course, just cancel your pre order at Gamestop and pre order the limited edition at another retailer like Best buy or Wal-mart.

You can cancel at Gamestop and go to another store, I’d go to Best Buy, they’re pretty convenient
You both preordered two different products essentially.
You paud $65 for the standard, but your friend paid extra money, $100, for the Limited Edition, hence the extra stuffies.
“Preorder” only means that you pre-ordered your copy. It doesn’t relate to the content included. That is decided by what version of the game you buy.

Actually, each retailer has special pre-order bonuses that you get only for pre-ordering… in this case its different weapon and armor skins.
