so everyone on the halo forum has heard that there will be a pretty huge and quite pricey special edition of halo 4 that was announced. My problem is that i have never spent 100 + on game before because i was not that in to it. Now here is my problem: Every halo game, starting with Halo 3 or Odst, had some sort of normal preorder bonus like Recon, or Sgt Johnson or ect. Now 343 is basically saying if you want that you have to buy the special 100 worth edition. 343 what will normal edition come with? nothing but the game? As much as having new maps that will be eventually released, i am fine with that. As much as having special armor is not something to be dramatic about, i wanted something like that to come with the normal game as well, like it always does.
I believe only the game, however usually just preordering the normal version will probally come with something.
Look. If you want the extra stuff, buy the limited. Either you want it or you don’t.
Edit. I may of misinterpreted this thread. Grammar, OP. It really helps.
sorry
Here’s the Breakdown:
NORMAL EDITION
1 Box
1 Game Disc
1 Instruction Manual
LIMITED EDITION
1 Fancy Box
1 Game Disc
1 Instruction Manual
1 Code to download exclusive stuff from Xbox Live
6 Specializations that you would need to rank up to get if you get Normal edition
3 Map Packs when they become available
<I may be missing something…I forgot>
Those are what comes with the editions. They may throw in a 48 hour xbox live gold thing to give to your buddy to play online with. Other than that, you are not really missing out on anything if you do not pre-order the limited edition. Limited is just a head-start on multiplayer while pre-ordering 3 map packs. That’s just it.
does anyone think gamestop will have a preorder bonus or sadly will buying normal just get you the game. As i have posted above, 343 has made a limited edition that features future contain that will probably be release as a DLC besides the camos, which i would like, but could live without

i know that the 100 dollars is still worth it, but 60 dollars is enough for me. All anybody will miss out would be the camos, which people probably take one look at and switch it
Remeber when you bought Halo 3 and you got that awesome mini poster of the Arbiter and the Chief? I want something like that in the Halo 4 normal edition as well as the limited.
You save money with limited.
Don’t forget the /90-minute/ /uncut/ version of the Forward Unto Dawn Miniseries. That’s another $5-10 worth of content.
And each map pack would likely cost about $15 which means you pay $45 to buy all three map packs later on.
The information booklet would also probably sell for $5-10 depending on how large it is and how many color prints it has on it.
Assuming each thing delivers at the lower price, you’re paying an extra $40 for at /least/ $55, and as much as $65-70 saved in bonus content.
You basically save enough to buy another game if you planned to preorder instead of collect all the Halo 4 DLC/media separately from the Limited Edition.
Since the AR will get a unique skin, I guess other weapons will too, and giving away free weapon skins for pre-order is a cheap but effective way to make people pre-order. I bet you’ll get something like that

A bit? This thread is a year old! There was no reason to revive this.
