so to get the skins do you have to preorder the limited edition or can you just get the regular one?

You can just get the regular one for the exclusive skins but you have to get the limited edition for the AR skin I believe.
Either one you pre order you will get the exclusive skin for that retailer. If you get the collectors edition you will get that exclusive skin as well on top of the pre-order one.

Just a Spartan and Assault Rifle skin
You get the bonus preorder skin from any retailer by just ordering the standard edition.
You can also get it with the limited edition at some retailers. Not all of them as of yet.
You will have to check their sites.
You will get the bonus skin from Gamestop with either copy.

You don’t get the assault rifle skin from Gamestop in the U.S.A.
You only get it through EBgames Canada, and MightyApe from New Zealand. EBgames is a subsidiary of Gamestop.
You do get the Forest skin from Gamestop though.

I was referring to the 2 skins you get with the LE. So I might have read his question wrong.
