in the latest bulletin someone asked a question about the bonuses and stuff and Franky said that all the preorder bonuses might become available for everyone one day possibly as DLC.
That could be very true, most games do that.
Would kill the reason to pre-order it…
that would be awsome

Even if they did, I probably won’t get them, as they are just cosmetic changes.
could be useful I mean I pre-ordered at Gamestop but I also like the circuit skin so now you can at least get all the ones you liked
That would be pretty cool!
That would be nice if they did that.
Limited edition Xbox comes with exclusive bonuses and so does the Limited Edition halo 4 copy. I personally think exclusive stuff should stay exclusive to that product. For example, there would be no point to the meaning of exclusive if my skin and emblems became available through dlc.
I wouldn’t look at them releasing that content as DLC. I am thinking they will do something similar to what they did with Recon in Halo:Reach. You could get it as a pre-order item but it also was obtainable in game through the progression system. In other words:
“we may eventually make all of the content available one day”-Halo Bulletin does NOT necessarily equal DLC.

The recon dlc is still not available to everyone else, when you got it you got it with special attachments not available to unlock in the armory.

The Recon helmet was a specific variation that was given to everyone who purchased regular or the other version. It was never exclusive in the first place. It was just placed in every copy for free.
If anything, they should do it like the flaming helmet effect. They never released that effect later on; it stayed exclusive.

Oh really?? oops I guess I never noticed…I knew the regular flames were not accessible but thought you could get all of Recon. Thanks for letting me know.
I will say if given the choice I would rather have the stuff that comes from getting the legendary Console/Game stay exclusive and then allowing all pre order stuff to be released eventually but not as DLC.

Agreed, but when they make bonus content available over time I’m assuming there target audience is the individuals unable to pre-order and purchase, for example younger kids who may get it for the holidays. Purchasing Halo 4:LE grants us access to specializations early. On top of that 3 Map packs which granted would be dlc, but would give the fans more incentive to pre-order if the special armor and weapons skins remand exclusive.

Amen. Now I can understand some Xbox Avatar stuff becoming free over time, but the exclusive weapon skins, armor skins, and emblems should stay exclusive!
