The wording on the video says that most of the items are unlocked in-game through the battle passes or challenges, which is great. However the door is still left open for an in-game store, pretty much like Gears 5, with one-time purchase items.
I’ve seen mention of an armour coating skin promotion in the US which said in the small print it had a ‘value of $5’, but we now can also consider prices for vehicle skins, armour, AIs and poses. Would you spend anything at / support a store like this? How much would you be willing to pay for some items which were exclusive to an in-game store?
I’m going to wait and see how much paying for the game gets you initially. I’m usually not a huge fan of buying seperate cosmetic packs or passes unless it contains something really up my alley.
Besides, its way cooler to show off achievements with armour you’ve earned.
I won’t be purchasing anything from an in-game store mostly because I want to earn the stuff I use to look a bit more unique as oppose to just buying it from a source that, in my opinion, kinda’ devalues that sense of uniqueness, regardless, I don’t see the harm in a premium store and purchasing from it isn’t a bad thing.

No, I will not support an online store, never have, never will.
Nothing, not a penny.
This is something I’ve been saying for ages on these forums. There will be a store, I believe it will be expensive, and I believe it will contain the sweet, sweet loot. They have a good battle pass system, or so it seems, but be prepared… There’s always a caveat.
I said there would be another bombshell, a store with exclusive premium gear will be it.

Part of me wants it all to be reasonably priced items, but part of me wants it to be so expensive that the gear becomes massively exclusive. It’ll be a fine balance for 343 to meet to be honest and hopefully we have more info soon.

It won’t be overly expensive to the point it remains exclusive. They’ll want to make money and this is where they’ll milk it. They don’t need to balance anything imo, they’ll put some, maybe most of the premium items in the store and have a few available through season pass.
The items in the store must be exclusive too, they stated in the overview that season pass items cannot be bought, so in turn store items cannot be earned. They will probably rotate store content aswell, this is where things like fomo will come into effect, this is just my opinion though.

I think you’re right with how it’s going to work, the store will be the only place to buy them but they will cycle through them every now and again. Refreshing the store once a week works well in other games.

Yup. I would love to be very wrong though. As soon as I was aware most of the items could be unlocked I thought store. Perhaps I’m being too cynical again, we’ll find out in due course.

The multiplayer is not full priced, it is free to play.

Since It is a 10 year plan ill probably a bit of money

I’m waiting to make my judgement when all of the pricing comes out however I don’t mind spending money on skins that seem to really have a touch to them and not just cheap copy paste coatings.

I’m certainly curious to see what actually gets put in the store. With the zero tolerance to loot boxes approach I’m happy we can buy items outright if we want to.
I do imagine we’ll see some cosmetic bundles in the store. Armour, vehicle & weapon coating paired up with some emblems & such. Stuff like that would be targeted at a higher price point.
Probably some ESports Bundles too similar to what we saw in Halo 5.
I don’t know what they’d sell as a single item to be honest. Without knowing the full contents of the game it’s a bit hard to say. Maybe holiday themed coatings? Who knows.
Honestly, I just can’t say right now. There’s way too many factors we’re in the dark about. Quality of the store items, personal preference, pricing, etc. I think it’s just one of those things I’ll have to reserve judgement on until I see it in practice

Of course, MP is free 2 play - and still I have to pay about 60€ to get this game - like wtf, this is the price for a campaign/forge? lol

W/ F2P, would you purchase a second season? Lets say 6 months after launch & they add you favorite (x) from Halo(x)?
How much is Halo MP worth to you? I’m not asking to be a -Yoink- or bug you or make a point, I am just curious!

I don’t really have a favourite x from Halo x. I won’t buy a season pass for one item if that’s what you’re asking. Also and most importantly it’s the gameplay I value, if that gameplay is negatively impacted by an invasive customisation system I’ll walk and won’t be around in 6 months.
Just like Halo 5, I enjoyed Halo 5’s multiplayer, it’s one of the best imo, but the req system killed it for me and I quit after a few months and never played it again. Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is free, so I won’t lose out, I’ll try it, if I don’t like or find myself grinding I uninstall without loss.
