Preliminary Season 11 Leader Tier List

Just an estimate based on how things are now and the patch notes preview. Thoughts? Anything you would change?

Atriox
Shipmaster
Colony
Yapyap
Pavium

-A+
Jerome
Johnson
Arbiter

Forge
Kinsano

-B
Cutter
Isabel
Serina
Voridus

Arby is 100% s tier.

If everyone is S tier, is it really S tier?

Jokes aside, I believe people are sleeping on Voridus. He’s going to be a lot better than B tier.

That’s the list IMO

Isabel should be by herself in dumpster tier

I think Isabel is underrated. She can do some nasty stuff with holo decoy and ghost in the machine and her mac blast is actually decent. Plus she has a spartan as her hero unit.

Idk, I see where you’re coming from with Isabel but the problem is that she is too slow out of the gates to really be competitive against most leaders. IMO

Honestly, I think people are sleeping on Cutter. Cutter is my main and I haven’t been able to find an answer to a strong army and some solid reinforcements if I can maintain map control most of the game.

From what I’ve tested, Voridus will be a god. I’ve managed to make Voridus work when he was bad, and now that he’s being buffed I’m going to be rolling with him quite a bit. Forge and Jerome will also be strong if not OP. But as a tester, I only played Voridus.

Please say that my fears are irrational and Jerome won’t be absolutely destroying any Banished opener with his hero.

Honestly, Voridus is not the best leader but agree. His early game and late game are actually pretty good. I do find his mid game can be garbo but with early game, he can hold his own mid. His hero is not as bad as most make him out to be either. Without micro, he beats many of the heroes in the game. I even beat Blinkingsea’s Shipmaster yesterday and Ship is top tier.

Oh yes, as of now even he’s underrated. I’ve beaten many top tier players with him, the most notable being Almirante. The game is on my YT titled “a better demonstration of Voridus” if you want to see how I did it. Once he’s buffed I believe he will be top 3 leaders.

No, your fears aren’t unfounded. The buffs have been scaled back a bit but the Mantis is still getting more damage when Jerome is piloting it.

To answer the question of the thread, this is what I think the tier list will look like.

Low tier-
Serina (her late game will be unbeatable, but her early and mid are still the same)

Mid tier-
Johnson (buffs are nice, but not enough for me to say he’s going to be great so I’m keeping him in mid)
YapYap (Grunt rider ram nerf means Flamers will pose a large threat to Yap, and Heroes will most likely shut him down completely if you don’t get a good surprise mine)
Kinsano (without her harassment tools, she will be much worse off)
Decimus (he wasn’t high tier to begin with, and now his banshees aren’t going to be anything special. The hero buff compensation is nice, but ultimately the reason why the double hero late game with Deci is so good is because they kill everything that kills boundless banshees. We’ll see how good he is, but I don’t predict him to be great.)

High tier-
Atriox (Leaving him in high tier as he hasn’t been changed at all)
Isabel (Hogs being good means Isabel is good. Also, the Mac and The Best Defense buffs mean she’s going to have a lot more options, as well as a very good late game.)
Cutter (Hero buffs are nice, but I don’t think it means all that much. I’m leaving him where I would normally put him.)
Pavium (hasn’t been nerfed)
Arbiter (hasn’t been nerfed)
Anders (nerfs are inconsequential)
Colony (Hero nerf is inconsequential, teleport will be extremely good for him)
Shipmaster (he was already high tier and now the Ranger in Spirit Support is going to become the second coming of Jesus)
Voridus (Grenadiers kill infantry now which is all Voridus needed to be good. However, there were a few other buffs that make him even better. In testing, I won a Vori vs Deci, which in pre-patch should be impossible. He’s not mid-tier, he is certainly going to be high-tier.)
Forge (Scatterbomb in testing killed 20 of my banshees. The damage is being partially reverted, but I believe it will still be very very strong. Also, with Hogs being so good and Forgehog’s aura being buffed, he will be the best leader to go Hogs with. CD on vehicle drop has not been nerfed either, which really needed to be done.)

Broken tier-
Jerome (The Mantis buff was absolutely uncalled for, and will make dealing with Jerome’s hero opener nearly impossible. Not only this, but Salvo actually hits quite hard now. It’s the hero that will break Jerome though.)

Isn’t marine weapon type change going to punish too much Cutter?

Concerned too about Jerome

Absolutely agree with voridus, but i think the buff to his hero could be a bit to much. Voridus was only bad because of his grenadiers. Anyway im just glad to see him top tier again.

Grenadiers are not really bad until you compare their costs. 230 supplies for AI is one hell of a cost for hellbringers and Grens to cancel each other out. Plus, pure garbage vs CT Marines. At least Rangers fight them off.

CT will do less vs vehicles, which will hurt Cutter vs hog spam. But he’ll still take the early game vs other UNSC (besides Jerome ofc). His matchups vs Banished are pretty good overall as well.

Thanks for the lists.
I have been unavailable to play much since the latest update due to traveling for work. I will be returning next week.
What have you all found to be a plus or negative for each leader so far ?
I like Anders, Jerome, Forge, Serina, Pavium and Voridus for my Top tiers.
Not big on Isabel. Lowest tier.
I like all the other leaders but don’t play them a whole lot. Mid to upper tier.
Is the GB still ridiculously too strong and last too long ?
