I’m a Marine, so it’s always one shot, one kill for me.
I much prefer the DMR over any other weapon in every Halo that I’ve ever played (all of them). I like the pistol as back-up, but if I have a choice, it’s M-392 DMR all the way.
Only BR.
Or BR and Pistol.

Sounds like the question should be more changed to “which SWAT would you like better, 3 or Reach?”. Personally, I think a playlist with all options would be cool…but then again I like variety, which is ironic considering I mostly play swat on Reach.
The only game type I really don’t care much for, based on what I’ve played from other Halo games, is SWAT magnums…but it’s mostly because the zoom/sight isn’t very suitable for pegging a target long-distance, and a lot of the maps on Reach’s SWAT were chosen to optimize the DMR in terms of size, especially asylum and pennicle.
Its sad that people vote for Casual swat (DMR)

I agree. If they’re going to expect you to peg anything with the pistol at a distance where you have to scope in the sights, they should have placed a small centering dot in the center of the reticule.
Now, after saying that, I’m decent with the pistol, but I’m much more proficient with the DMR. Bloom, no Bloom, I really don’t care. I can adapt to any type of game-play as long as I can have my trusty M-392 Designated marksman Rifle.

I was playing the original CE when you were probably still in grade school. lmao
And I doubt it. Yeah I played Halo 3 SWAT, and I loved it. Would’ve played more, but the friends I game with enjoyed Slayer more. As for Halo 2, this is my second GT and the original one has been lost to time.
Reach SWAT is only camping if you have no idea how to play well in it.

How about 2 seperate playlists for SWAT?
One for use with the DMR and the other one for use with the BR.
It should be any item you want. Why is this? Because we true Halo fans love customization.

BR and DMR?! God, that would be deadly but could have interesting gameplay. I would have to go with the BR just because the gun is more satisfying to shoot than the DMR. DMR is still welcome though.

Only scrubs would say that. Im playing a spartan on LvL 50 SWAT. No problem there.

I’ve played roughly 800+ hours of Reach, mostly in Swat, and yeah, noobs tend to camp a lot on sword base especially around the highest bridge/vent room…but usually the higher the ranks people are their tactics change, and they tend to find ways around the campers to where they will only be able to get a few shots off before their camping position is compromised.
keep in mind this is mostly just from my own experience.
…I still vote for Sword Base though…
I would possibly have an opinion of halo 3, but I haven’t really played it enough to get a good feel for the maps, let alone figure out strategies or notice player trends.
