Predictions for Halo Infinite at Xbox Showcase this weekend

We’re less than a week out from the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase and I’m curious what everyone thinks we’ll see for Halo. A preview of forge? Surprise co-op drop day of the show? BR-scale game mode? Nothing at all?

343i has shown and talked about a lot already. I don’t care until I can play whatever it is myself. Hopefully it doesn’t get delayed or need major bug fixes upon release. Again.

If you really think something will come from 343i, you sir may be disappointed. It is a “new games” showcase, not a “current game events” showcase.

Pretty much this. 343i has made the plan for infinite pretty clear already. I’d stick to the official sources we have now for news and updates. A showcase isnt necessary.

As one of their last bastions of immense player interest? I’m expecting to at least hear some mention of Forge, big or small.

I’m not expecting to hear anything about the Custom Games Browser outside of a potential delay though, as much as I hate saying it.

Anything would be better than this current communication drought.

Expecting;

  • A preview of Forge.
  • Promotion for co-op campaign.
  • Unveiling of CA’s new game mode.
  • A minor game drop (special armour or coating etc)

Would love;

  • Some sort of Campaign DLC announcement.
  • A major game drop (map or game mode).

I think it would be the perfect time to drop a freshly Forged reimagining of a classic Halo map. But that’s just me day dreaming…

I understand your points but I think a lot of people are hopeful myself included. Because there’s been silence. Nothing from any community member anywhere. I’m on Twitter daily and the forums. It’s likely you can’t jump in here without seeing my tag in a post (however annoying I may be); but regardless there is nothing.

My personal hopes are as such.

  • Reveal on the upcoming BR mode (honestly I just wanna see the size of a 100 Spartan map)

  • FireFight. ( Or at least a private mode beta version for everyone to try. My ultimate fanboy dream is that FireFight will also go a semi Spartan ops mode and instead of the fight coming to us on every map. On some maps like at least 1 PLEASE GOD JUST ONE open world like segment we have to go to it.) I don’t want to prattle on about my FireOps dream mode but God please

    • Forge update Cinematic. Perhaps a gameplay walk through that isn’t from a leaker. And a large hope from the community is placeable AI (banished not just bots). With the things we already know about forge such as weather and scripting, placeable AI shouldn’t be a far cry right? In theory this would allow us to create our own fire fight maps, or PvPvE like warzone

Things I won’t think will be in a showcase but I think will maybe show up in a blog post soon. Is something about the store and customization.

The player base has been pretty vocal everywhere about the disdain for coatings and lack of cross core yet. Hopefully at the very least they will let us buy a blank coating to customize. Cuz honestly idk if we will ever get custom colors back at this point.

I’m expecting a look at the new game mode by Certain Affinity at the very least.

Other than that I’d like a sneak preview of Forge and just…more content. Firefight. Campaign DLC. Anything.

They do a teaser which trolls us on the

“What could be more dangerous than the Flood?”

Maybe a concept trailer for this new mode/spin off.

They need to announce the certain affinity thing. After a certain point the game will be so old that nobody will care.
